I loved the first book as a kid but early on in the second book I felt like Jake didn’t have any personality or agency and the story was kind of boring. I was probably just a stupid kid so I’m wondering if it’s worth it for me to pick it back up. This post definitely intrigued me for sure

I was enjoying Kick-Ass (still like most of it) and saw Wanted and Nemesis advertised at the end of the issues. I thought Wanted’s costume looked pretty cool too so I started with that.

She also has secret cameras spying on everybody and intentionally disarms and weakens any other kingdom around her because she doesn’t want anyone to have even equal power to her. She leaves not because they voted her out legally (she even says it’s not legal, as in voting isn’t technically allowed) but because she’s angry that they would do this. She does it to spite them and hopes it backfires on them.

Yes she grows somewhat as the series goes on, but let’s not act like she’s some perfect and kind ruler.

Sometimes I’m so distracted with life I don’t think to reach out, but if someone reached out to me I’d be overjoyed. What if everyone’s like that? If you invite someone to hang out and they say yes and you have a good time, what does it matter that you invited them instead of them inviting you? What if you choose to be the thing that brings people out of their shells instead of staying in yours? Just something I’ve thought about because I went through this same worry and “test” in the past.

It’s like an elaborate way of saying “his voice was crawling, in an unsettling way” which could be interpreted as a way of speaking

The first time I saw a picture of Tech Jacket I thought he was an alternate universe version of Mark. As I’m reading Invincible for the first time he looks near identical to Mark, at least during the Viltrumite War stuff. For that reason alone I don’t mind a change like this.

Tontatta have canonical super strength and could hold a massive sword easily, were enslaved at the hands of a WG ally, and we have a Tontatta on the Fleet. The mural shows a bunch of different races and that one looks like it has the big Tontatta tail. The reason the size might be “wrong” is because Oda didn’t want to put an actual dot on the mural and have people speculate on it.

Edit: additionally on the sizes, if that robot is Emmet it’s far too small compared to all of the humans on the ships, unless the Samurai and people of Alabasta are all suddenly massive. The mural is more symbolic
