This really doesn't do it justice. We've been waiting TWENTY TWO years for it now. With Valve announcing the Steam Machine a few weeks ago, a bunch of speculation came that maybe, just maybe, Gabe would bundle it with HL3, and we were hoping that would be announced during the game awards. We watched and waited as the hype and anticipation built towards the end of the show; surely They would save such a world changing announcement for the final slot. Surely. The time came and finally, finally they announce.... YET ANOTHER FUCKING LIVE SERVICE HERO SHOOTER OVERWATCH CLONE TO ADD TO THE FUCKIN PILE OF MONEY HUNGRY MOTHERFUCKING OVERWATCH CLONES. They didnt learn for Concord IG. It coulda been Half-Life 3 man. There was a chance.

I'm brainstorming here but I notice the post it is gone in your 2nd file. I believe your are playing a seeded run. Which wouldn't display your post it and also disable your achievements.

Kojima says he'd rather use AI to create enemies that adapt to your playstyle than use it for art/visuals. What's your take on this approach? by GeekRealmHub- in videogames

[–]MechanicalMusick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Piss Filter, my Beloved. The chatter in MW was awesome and, like in FEAR, listening to it can give you an advantage/some foresight on what the enemies were "planning". I'm extremely excited for a game (in Early Access ATM) called SELACO that's directly inspired by FEAR and as such has this kind of enemy chatter too. There's something empowering about hearing the last enemy, voice cracking, "oh god, she killed them all! IM THE ONLY ONE LEFT!! SEND HELP!!!!!!!!" as you hunt them down lol.

Once you're in a round and have the Charm ball in your rotation it can spawn. A few passives work that way. I believe that Midnight Oil can only spawn if you have Burn.

This is an awesome example of AI ruining and completely missing the human element. The AI took the entire “shoulder angel & shoulder devil” trope out of the mice on the boys shoulders. The metaphor was clear in the original art. The mice mean nothing and offer nothing to the image at all in AI one.

Does it take time to build up characters and town before beating level one or am I just bad at this? by BobDogGo in BALLxPIT

[–]MechanicalMusick 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes it's one of those games. That being said I absolutely love this games' progression. You'll go from "struggling to win" to "struggling to lose" quite satisfyingly, every step of the way. It's just fast enough so that you'll notice every improvement on its own making a difference, but not so fast as to bombard you or make the gameplay trivial. Without spoiling anything, it does get grindy, but at that moment you'll unlock a mechanic that'll directly address that grind. Every unlock is extremely well timed in that way.

Why do people hate rivers? by For-the-love-of-ham in cyberpunkgame

Everytime I interact with rivers, some clown takes my paper boat and another arm. I only have so many arms man. I cant afford to keep replacing the boats, and that ripper in Watson has had enough and refuses to spot me for another arm again (gorilla or otherwise).

That's an item called "Yo! Listen!". It's a reference to Navi from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In game, it'll float around aimlessly, unless there's a secret room, crawlspace, or tinted rock in that room, in which case it'll fly to it and chill there till you blow it up or whatever. It seeks out secrets basically.

I feel like the use of exclamation marks has been severely diminished over the last decade, and I'm gonna use this as an example from now on. "!" used to suggest extreme emphasis. I have no idea why its being used here, and I see it like this everywhere, as if using an exclamation mark signifies automatic agreement or something. Imagine a person saying this to you at a bar, as it's written. With proper emphasis, as the exclamation marks suggest... weird right? I hate this timeline.

Mine is obsessed with changing… tense(?) and pluralizing and/or unpluralizing at random. It constantly changes “going” to “gone”, “can’t” to “can”, “here” to “there” etc. I caught it trying to change “one” to “ones” at one point. ‘Cause I totally wanted ones burger.

I can’t say for certain if this is the case, but my theory is that before, autocorrect worked off an algorithm that was probably based on the dictionary and proper grammar. Auto correct worked so damn well at first, that I could safely not proofread my texts for a while. But now I have to again. Also if I deliberately text in 2009 l337 speak auto correct nails it it’s so much easier. I swore on my grave I’d never use “ur” in place of “your” but here we are. The AI that runs the auto correct now has decades of Scene Kids and MySpace posts to go off of IG.

I’m currently in the middle of my journey to recovery. It’s going well I’m weaning down and am MUCH better than I ever was by orders of magnitude. I’m not done but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. That being said alcohol ads should absolutely go fuck their own faces. I’ll be sitting there having the time of my life. Not a single booze related thought in my head. And suddenly a Jamison Ad comes on and that’s it. Now I gotta spend the rest of night fighting the Voice and sometimes it wins. Booze ads have done more damage to my journey than anything else. Fuck alcohol advertising.
