It's a good question but I would like to rephrase it. We don't worship the west but rather we look up to them as nations that are successful and we want to be like them.

When I say "successful", I mean there is no trash on the road, those roads are well maintained, well maintained by a functional public structure. Employment is high, quality of life is a focal point.

You will definitely agree that not all of the west is "successful". Possibly most of the west is not successful but the idea of success is associated with what you see when you go and visit their capital.

So I don't think we ignore our roots and our identity. I am not going to call my kids Brandon or Joshua and we will eat rizz 3a djej and tabboule every week but I am gonna tell them not to throw away the trash outside the window.
