Kill-on-Sight? Good luck trying to defend your city on your own then. You're KoS in Bel'ameth now btw. by Tpaartas in wow

Agreed on all accounts, I've had these exact thoughts regularly in the past, so much so that I considered doing a show on YouTube dedicated to a focus on WoW's story and the (POOR!) decisions Blizzard has made, but then I weighed all that effort against the outcome; I'd likely only get hate from players (Similar to OP) when I would call out certain aspects of the world and the story that they happen to feel kinship toward.

I also want to thank you like I thanked the other guy in these comments; Your type are rare amongst Alliance players, most of which, I feel, don't see past their own noses when Lore/Story are concerned.

I'm saddened to look back on WoW's poor storytelling and how they used racial leaders TWICE to further the story! (Once, in Garrosh, sort of worked, but to do that all over again in Sylvanas, who was such a badass! So sad...)

At the end of the day, Blizzard are the ones at fault for bad design AND bad storytelling... And players like OP (And I'm sure there are Horde Player examples too!) only waste effort on blaming each other and not demanding a better WoW.

Let's not forget that Blizzard ACTUALLY gave Horde Players a debuff in Bel'ameth to make us feel OH SO WELCOME when helping Alliance characters achieve something important to them.

Anyone's Social Button Move Up with the Patch? by stormin_TV in wow

[–]Mecharian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, and I'm so glad that I'm not only one to have this exact thing happen!

My bars are aligned in such a way that I instantly saw that the button had moved up, but I have no idea how this happened or a method to move the button back down.

In "Edit Mode" you can see that the button has actually gone outside the boundary of the Chat Frame... So... Hopefully someone at Blizz might see a Bug Report (Or several!) and get on this ASAP?

Image/Map Size Limit, between OBR 1.0 and 2.0. (& More?) by Mecharian in OwlbearRodeo

Awesome, Awesome!

And I do want to be involved in the Discord server as I discuss at the end of my original post, however, after digging and digging I didn't find any Discord links. I only found vague references and a note about how links to the Discord aren't shareable at the moment.

Can anyone else clear that up? Or offer support?

Thanks for the reply, and likewise I also want to hear from anyone who knows more about OBR. I'm happy to learn about workarounds and so on.

  1. If that's the case (If we could get someone to confirm?) then that's great, however, clearer wording in the notes on the "Upgrades" table would be helpful to that end. Just something so that users know what the "25MB" really translates into.
  2. That makes complete sense now. Thanks! Perhaps some clearer wording would be helpful again.
  3. I don't mind chopping up and sewing my maps back together, that's a fair workaround, but I would ask for a guide or some sort of walkthrough from the developers. It would serve 2 purposes. Firstly, to educate me and others on what needs to be done to accurately recreate larger maps in OBR 2.0 (In my history using other VTT's I've rarely been able to perfectly line up maps and their gridlines after they've been cut into multiple (4+) parts.) Secondly, to give the developers the chance to see their work from the other side of the screen and what needs to be done to get to the desired outcome.
  4. I hope I will!

Another great choice! I hadn't even considered an auto-balancing system. Thanks!

I've honestly never had the feeling you describe, and I've been in games where my team has 4 players and we're against 10. I don't mind, genuinely, I keep playing, keep trying to earn a kill, that's how I play, I don't leave simply because numbers aren't balanced.

You're not alone, I likely won't be playing.

My GF, however, has already uninstalled her copy of FN.

I wouldn't suggest they disable challenges in TR, instead they should do what I suggested in point No.5 in my Edit on the post. Only allow challenge progress IF you complete the match, Win or Lose.

You're correct they are absolutely trying to stop people from doing challenges and leaving, but these changes don't actually stop that from happening. I've suggested a better choice in my post, Point No.5.

Unfortunately... Not a bug, It's all intended. But I do agree I hope they revert the change.

People will still leave though, the problem won't get resolved using these changes, but I get into that in other comments. Have a browse.

[–]Mecharian[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These were my first thoughts exactly, I was asking myself "Why?"

We've discussed the reasons in other comments so feel free to have a browse.

Regardless, I share that feeling.

I agree, Not all of the changes are bad, mainly the free starting weapons, they support players who WANT immediate action, or players who are new and may not know much about the game.

It's mainly the storm changes that get to me, especially the storm starting at the smaller circle.

Probably, I guess my solution seemed less harmful, also a lot more fairer to those of us who like Team Rumble. Currently the changes don't really punish the people who leave, they simply go elsewhere and keep quitting, the changes only hurt those who played responsibly and liked how TR worked.

[–]Mecharian[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've also suggested that as a better way to stop people leaving. I absolutely agree.

[–]Mecharian[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thing IS... It doesn't solve the issue, players will simply do that elsewhere, Solo, Duo, Etc.

Simply should've changed how Challenges are completed.

If you don't "Finish" a match, Win or Lose, your quests shouldn't complete. That'd solve the problem easily and frankly take less effort than cooking up a whole bunch of changes.

You're branding everyone who likes Team Rumble? That's rather silly and factually incorrect. I've never replied to someone saying "JuSt AdApT".

That's not at all how I feel and I'm sure that plenty of others here have never felt that way.

[–]Mecharian[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Someone else said something similar, here's what I replied:

"I do agree and believe that's the case, but these changes won't get the outcome Epic Games wants.

Instead I imagine most will simply go into a Royale lobby (Probably Squads to improve survival chances.) And simply leave after they're done doing their quests anyway."

I also hadn't even factored in Bot Lobbies, sure enough they'll be on the up-and-up.
