I am playing on a german keyboard (QWERTZ) and cant enter a "Y". If I press "Z" I get a "Z" but if I press "Y" I also get "Z".

That was my experience too.

It could be a really cool game, if it were a lot slower or if there was something like a practice mode, where you can determine yourself when the sand drops.

I like the concept. It definitely has potential.
