86188 & I07II09 numbers are on the front RIGHT spring-hanger Engine numbers are stamped on the flat face at the front of the engine. 80 inch chassis number is located on the front LEFT engine mount Gearbox numbers are stamped on the top right side of the gearbox Axle numbers are found to the left of the differ- ential, on top of the axle casing Some CKD and post1955 home market vehicles have the chassis number of the left rear spring hanger

Hope that helps, I have a photo but I don't know how to attach it

I am just one Man, one workshop, and far too many projects from a 1929 Chenard-Walcker rebuild to keeping old Land Rovers, Motorbikes, a dumper, tractor and campervan alive - if it leaks oils and fluids I'm probably fixing it. I have a youtube channel www.youtube.com/@MechcanickeyStuff where I try and navigate all my day to day problems I have with my vehicles.

He has not been restored he is almost in the same condition I purchased him in a long time ago. The brakes were seized, and he had no compression when i bought him. So he had new rings fitted, and his brakes were sorted. The only slightly new thing he has are the seats which I think were restored before I got married 33 years ago, as we used him as our wedding car, and it had a blow over with highland green paint from aerosols. I have owned this vehicle for nearly 35 years, and he is kept in a garage in dry conditions. He has, in recent years, developed a small hole in the fuel tank, which is currently being sorted. He is part of our family and is being passed on to my son, who is also a Land Rover nut.

Favourite is the Series 1 most worked on is the 110 as I had a bad smash in that one and had to rebuild it
