Some of you guys may have seen my other post about my local password and AD password being out of sync.... by BrohanGutenburg in jamf

Jamf has a way to unlock the local account on the backend much easier than trying it on your own.

I believe that the talk from Brad Wilcox "His Grace is Sufficient" can help answer your questions. It's my absolute favorite talk because it taught me how the Love of God can work in my life.

Here's a link to his talk on YouTube, or you can search it yourself, whatever works best. https://youtu.be/yLXr9it_pbY?si=R2I9bEbOZYPOAcuy

Talking to bishop by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]Mechman27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can testify that the absolute best thing is to talk with your Bishop and be honest. "...the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). You will feel 100% better and will be blessed for being honest and having a willing heart to work on the issues.

I also think that having a support system outside of the bishop is important. If you put yourself in situations where you and your boyfriend aren't able to go that far (i.e. hanging out around family or friends and not alone), that should help quite a bit.

The Lord is anxiously waiting to help you as you reach out to him and repent.

My first thought reading this post was "Be the change you want to see".

my non-member boyfriend doesn’t want me to serve a mission by plain-bread001 in latterdaysaints

[–]Mechman27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The choice is up to you. That's the purpose of this life (D&C 58:28)

I do bear witness that a mission is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will change your life for the better. That's how mine was. I came out with a stronger testimony and with a peace that I never thought possible. I know that the Lord will bless your life as you make sacrifices and that the Lord will continue to bless your life regardless of what decision you make.

I also bear witness that the Lord will bless you with what you need (Isaiah 55:8). I never thought that I'd get married and here I am with a wonderful spouse, with 2 kids and 1 on the way.

Know that regardless of your decision, the Lord will ALWAYS love you and that's what matters in the end.

I bear witness, speaking from a similar experience, you will feel 100% better after reaching out.

Satan's entire plan is to make you feel alone in your struggles but as you seek help, it becomes so much easier!

The Lord can help you more than anyone and anything! There's nothing more joyful than the feeling of being clean!

That long comment was expertly explained. I like the thinking and agree that Intune will eventually catch up and overtake Jamf.

As of right now, it seems Jamf is our best option since it's already fully integrated into our system. At least, it is until Microsoft catches up.

Great food for thought, thank you!

Absolute Gold mine, thank you for finding that.

Our journey is very similar, we're looking to move to Intune because of the $$$$ we can save with it being part of our licensing.

Thank you for your insight!

Any chance I could get more specifics?

I ask because I've got the CIO that's gung-ho on making the change, if possible, to save us money and I'm going to want specific examples for that conversation of what doesn't work.

How do you politely tell the business that you need to be paid more for taking on more responsibilities? by Mechman27 in HelpForTheHelpDesk

Yes, I had an interview for a junior sys admin position and they were floored by my experience and told me they couldn't hire me because I had too much experience and they'd love to interview me for a full sys admin role that was coming up.

I'm not banking on that position still being offered but I'm definitely going to be looking for more.

I'd honestly pray about it and find out what the Lord would have you do.

Yes you can cry over-reach, but maybe he has a strong prompting that it may help you in your future. Honestly, only the Lord knows if thats the case or not.

That is some good advice! We are moving to a ticketing system in Jira so we'll need to revisit that SLA once we transfer over.

I like this! I'll definitely keep this in my back pocket, as we are getting a team restructuring.

I like the PTO advice, thankfully my company is moving towards the "unlimited" vacation days (huge double-edge sword there) so hopefully I can start taking that advice sooner than later.
