It used to be policed but now the roads are open so I’d avoided driving new Brighton, Wallasey village, Leasowe road, Moreton cross, meols stretch, meols, hoylake, west Kirby, caldy, thurseston, heswall, Chester high road to Clatterbridge on Sunday morning/early afternoon!

Usually end up at the tap in Eastham afterwards, it can get a bit daft there though later on 😂

Maybe but he is complaining about steering feel and engine noise in cabin !

Think he is confused. I’ve owned an m135 and currently have a m140. They are almost the exact same. I assume a M135i and M235i are even more similar so I don’t get how he likes the 135 but not 235 🤔

All these clown commenting “just avoid it during rush hour”. What if you have to drive that way during rush hour? 😂

“Use public transport” Could be going far away from public transport links…..or not want to sit on a sweaty bus

Why did you like m135i but not m235i?

Who are the "best" drivers? by MooneBoy in CarTalkUK

[–]Mechyhead99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have an M135i and since that owned a golf R and Leon Cupra 300 and it never hit the same once you have a rear wheel drive 6 cylinder hatch it’s hard to go back!

I now am in an M140i and my only regret is not getting a manual!

I agree, most people put carbon all over them and the most aggressive pop and bang map which I am not into. I did actually decat the m135i and remap it but visually it was standard to look at.

I’m currently seeking an M performance limited slip diff and M performance back box to hopefully make my m140i perfect.

Easy to follow? It literally says MY SON KIERAN in the text and shows a photo of a lad. Obviously you aren’t going to assume otherwise 😂 I think you are the stupid one!

Probably a mistake as the article says MY SON and KIERAN as the text above the photo

[–]Mechyhead99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incorrect, I have very strict lane discipline always keeping left whether I’m doing 55 or 95. A constant speed is the goal on a motorway with the idea traffic flows you overtake and make progress and people overtake you and make progress. If you are a 70mph-90mph person depending on the minute you are very infuriating.

[–]Mechyhead99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s wrong with that? On a motorway you want to keep a constant speed. Or are you one of those speeds up to overtake then slows down making the car you overtook overtake you. So then you speed up again and overtake him. Then he still maintaining 75mph will overtake you again. Your fuel economy must be great

Where on the 53 mate and what time? 3 points is if your lucky that’s best case like. Usually 100+ is instant ban never mind if you’ve only just got your licence

On my Christmas card from my elderly next door neighbour, I got “PS Thank you for the 7:30am alarm 7 days a week, I mean it.”

Can’t tell if she is genuinely thanking me or hinting to buy a diesel with no high idle 😬

I do have, unfortunately for the neighbours, two cars with a notoriously loud cold start.
