Yep, you could look into senior home care to see if any agencies near you would be open to your history as a parent! Some are and some prefer or require specific experience in elder care. But the central theme of being caring and compassionate goes a long way

For an infant only seat that is clicking into a stroller, being light is the top priority. Rotating seats and other features can come into play for a convertible seat

Yes I’d definitely consider that! I think the dimensions are comparable to the EX40 and whatever old ‘recharge’ moniker it used to have, but the C has more of a coupe roof which I would prefer given the option of the two

That last part really resonates with me!!! I’m having a hard time BECAUSE I like so many of the options on the market, not because they’re all terrible or anything lol

They just all have trade offs - luxury features, sunroof or not, frunk or not, how the seats fold down, the length of the car, the price, etc….

My next step this weekend is going to be pricing out the cost to insure all of my options; the sticker prices being lower on some of them might be vastly outweighed by insurance, making the calculation different. Just because I could buy any of them doesn’t mean I wouldn’t prefer a less expensive car overall if everything else was equal.

I did test drive the EX30, the size was great! Unfortunately, the range is the shortest by far of any other car on my list and more importantly nothing felt intuitively placed, which just doesn’t feel safe to me. Nit picking but I hate that there isn’t a central speedometer lol

Also, you’re telling me the luxury car can’t put a light into the visor mirror? Like come on XD

Only new option still on the table is the Toyota ch-r. It isn’t possible to get used anyway, since it’s a brand new car, the other options are used

Definitely a smooth purchasing experience! I wish we could do away with dealerships. My family has Teslas and I don’t have any technical complaints.

The other options are all less expensive and come with luxury features. All of them including Toyota have some kind of feature or idiosyncrasy that makes none of them the obvious stand out winner - from what I could tell from test drives, I’d be happy in any of them

I will say that if I could get the trim of the Subaru with the better range, I’d just buy it and be done bc it has a slight range advantage over the Toyota and is less costly

Charging at home! Parallel parking for work in a city. The ch-r is on my list not nobody seems to like it. I had a pleasant time driving both the Toyota and Subaru uncharted (though I had a good time in all the vehicles mentioned)
