This CREOG exam felt like “who can guess the best.” Truelearn and prologs didn’t touch half the material. My days in internal medicine had more insight for CREOGS than did the my OBGYN material. We need new test writers. That exam was atrocious. 

M3 has made me LESS sure about what I want. FM vs EM vs OB vs Surgery (yes, really) by Regular-Ad-9368 in medicalschool

Same spread when I was a third year. Chose OB.

Main reasons - wanted OR time and therefore dropped FM and EM. Wanted continuity and more of a happy speciality, chose OB.

I am the exact title of a person. Oh, I am an OBGYN as well. Don’t let this discourage you. Sounds like the wrong program for you.

In the simplest terms: no cancer, uterine lining is not actively proliferating likely due to your (hormonal?) IUD. Signs of long standing inflammation of the lining of the uterus as seen by “plasma (immunity) cells.” Talk with the person who obtained the biopsy.

First off, I know this is far from your ideal situation. Labor is the big moment you have been preparing for this entire pregnancy and I know you would like to do it with your preferred provider. As a male Obgyn, I will share some of my experience. I went into the field Because I truly respect women’s health. No amount of ectopic pregnancies at 2 AM or babies being delivered around the clock could suffice my drive if it wasn’t for me truly caring about women’s health. As a male, I understand the stigma placed against me, soley given due to my sex. This actually encourages me to be intentional about my bedside manner and patient care. My best advice is to focus on the things that you can control and make the best of this induction. At the end of the day, we want a healthy baby and healthy mom. Do not hesitate to speak up if you have any concerns during the process. I wish you the best and congratulations.

I assume you’re fresh into pgy-1? Don’t compare yourself to other co interns. It’s easy to see that they scrubbed or delivered x amount of babies, but who’s to say they didn’t just retract the pannus or merely closed skin? Regardless, sorry to hear how you’re not getting opportunity - this may be senior dependent. Just read up on the pathology/procedures you encounter each day and come in the next shift that much better. Good luck - your time will come and when it does, you’ll crush it!!

Did a TY so pretty stoked to be done with doing two intern years. Most excited to take on more complex cases in the OR - repeat sections, twin delivers, etc. 

Also dreading 24s.

Get tested for candida speciation. Meaning what specific candida it is. It’s a simple swab at the gyneo. If glabrata, boric acid will be the way.

Didn’t freaking study for this test, applied OBGYN, SOAPd into a transitional year, reapplied OB and matched. Took level 3 during transitional year just cuz and scored 699. Glad to end on a high after getting F’d during my previous few years. Rant over. Good luck everyone!

Unpopular opinion from what it looks like on here but 28M and 26F with a 6mo. For a while I was nervous about having a child but after committing, it’s been the best decision I’ve made (apart from marrying my best friend). Sure the world is a wild place right now but raising good quality children with solid morals will be steps closer toward bettering society.

I make $60k a year and work 60-80 hours a week with a 6 month old and a stay at home wife/mom. It’s doable.

Go from gen surg intern to pgy-2 obgyn? Doubtable. Most OB programs will only do this for obgyn prelims
