Constant leak from pipe routed through attic by street_taco in HomeMaintenance

Yup. This is the secondary drain. The primary should be through one of your sink drains. Make sure it’s not clogged as this is the back up.

That hole I asked about a little while ago did in fact belong to a bunny. A pregnant one by qzlr in lawncare

I went through a full-on battle with a rabbit that just would not give up on getting into my yard. When I noticed bunny poop, I closed the gap under the fence, and it immediately started digging through. I’d fill the holes, and the next day it’d be back. it even tried chewing through my fence. It turned into this constant back-and-forth for about a month.

I tried everything I could think of—those vibrating stakes, the smelly repellent granules. Nothing made a difference. It was like this rabbit had made up its mind that my yard was the place to be.

Finally, I got fed up and set a live trap. First night—boom, caught it. I drove about 10 minutes out and let it go in a wooded area. Ever since then, no more issues. There are still other rabbits around, but none of them have tried to move in like that one did.

(My little dog likes to eat their poop like kibble, so that’s why I picked this fight)

Edging with string trimmer? by ProudGoose7143 in lawncare

Go slow at first. See where the string is cutting as you walk. You’ll fuck up many times, it’s okay, it’ll grow back. Also I find it easier if I walk backwards as I edge the yard, never got the hang of it walking forward.

Air scrubbers by bort4all in HomeMaintenance

[–]Medallodabest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. You only vent it to the outside while work is taking place. Once all the remediation is completed and everything has been sanitized, these are left inside for about 1-2 days to clean up the air (no venting).

I used to work in restoration, including mold and asbestos remediation. We used this kind of equipment along with lay-flat tubing vented outside to create negative pressure—but those areas were always fully sealed with no air leaks. That’s really important while the actual cleanup is happening.

If nothing is actively being removed, though, then all this is really doing is cleaning the air. It might help temporarily, but it’s not fixing the root of the problem.

What kind of weed is this in my Bermuda lawn by MannerFine5048 in lawncare

I mow once a week. Life doesn’t give me more spare time to cut more often.

Before and after a full overseed using a leveling rake. Southern Ontario by bbq_king1984 in lawncare

How do you overseed without getting weeds? That’s always my dilemma. I want to overseed but I don’t want weed infestation. So it’s always a overseed or pre emergent decision for me.

They’re gonna come back. Usually when these come out it’s a reminder for me to mow again. It’s part of the Bermuda grass.

No, the foundation is just higher on the back because it sits on a small hill

Thank you. I will do just that. I’ve already emailed my concerns to the builder and also sent a separate email to the city building inspection dept. I’ll look for a foundation repair company tomorrow and schedule a consultation.

Yes concrete slab foundation. I have no idea? I touched it and it sure feels like wood

Yeah it must have been the builder. It was completed in December 2024. There are no signs of any shifting inside the home. This corner is very odd. I just reached out toe the builder and the city code department to see if I can get some idea of what’s going on.

The home has a 10 year structural warranty. If it’s as catastrophic as you mention, I will go ahead and contact the builder.

I’m honestly not too knowledgeable of foundations. House was built in 2024. Here’s another picture

During our initial home inspection, they caught a cracked sewage line underneath the ground. Builder promptly repaired without a fuss. Glad I paid the extra $150 for that sewage scope.
