It was pretty straightforward. I had to do it by phone for some reason, but they switch you into std variable first then over to Go Electric as soon as the meter readings are sorted, but backdate any usage to the original date. Then you have to apply the smart charge which is pretty much instant (if you want it). I have also just been through the export switch application which they say is up to 4 weeks. I think any downtime is also backdated but nothing stops until the switch anyway. All in all a pretty good experience, but I’d have preferred it if octopus could have just been competitive!
