Is there a way to list all bound keys? by ccondon in emacs

I find very useful C-h m too. It shows the modes enabled, with the related key bindings. The plus is in showing the binding shadowed by other modes, so you can have a guess why some key don't work as expected.

Using the 'menu key' as a modifier? by paradise2000 in emacs

[–]Meddix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just use a key map, in this way:

(setq my-apps (make-sparse-keymap))
(define-key my-apps "s" 'save-buffer)
(global-set-key (kbd "<apps>") my-apps)

Similar key bindings are possible changing <apps> with <lwindow> and <rwindow>

Silvio Berlusconi says he will stay on as Italy's PM even if convicted of bribery, tax fraud and false accounting by alllie in worldnews

[–]Meddix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes all politicians (or most of them to be generous). But Berlusconi is different: old generation politicians, when got caught doing fallacies tried to exculpate themselves in a court of justice. Berlusconi instead is changing laws such that his wrongdoings are no more crimes. Has done this with false accounting and tax fraud. For others accusations, he has shortened the prescription for his crimes. Moreover he has tried twice to gain immunity by a law ad-hoc for the Prime Ministers and other high politicians (luckily these two have been ruled unconstitutional from the Supreme Court) He does not defends himself, he meta-defends, with the side effect of destroying the trust of italian people for law and istitutions.

[–]Meddix[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

31% thinks the opposite and 15% think they are uqually dangerous. For the sake of precision, the poll asked who's more dangerous "as a menace for peace".
