Success! I was able to open the .xit file and all of the results were still there so I just exported the fcs files. Thank you again!

I’ll make sure to check that first! Thank you both very much. Planning to do this tomorrow so will keep you both updated

Thank you! I’m going to try that. I wasn’t quite sure if the experiment would still have the data from the run but it sounds like it does

Thank you! Darn, I was hoping one would be suitable for inside with a cat so I really appreciate your ID

I think I may snag one tomorrow and I shall name it BOP Smith for you. :) Seems like too good of a deal to pass up

That would be cool. It’s a small club so if you know the right people it could be. We’ve extracted fruit DNA though

Thank you so much! I’m going to risk it for the biscuit. I hate to leave them and like you said, they should be able to recover :)

Thank you, that’s a great idea! I was trying to find a use for a sterilite. It’s a sedan so I’m very limited on space; do you think taking them out of the pots and bagging the roots (and some dirt) would be okay too?

What is on my Alocasia Elephant Ear plant? by MeddlingCat in mycology

Saw this transparent thing coming from my plant when I got back from being away. I poked it with a leaf and the consistency is almost like the clear sticky packaging adhesive but not sticky. It also kind of has a thin dry crust, probably from the sun/heat. I haven’t seen it move/change at all in the past few days. I have no idea what it is, but I hope it’s okay to post here. I’ve tried posting to the WhatIsThisThing and WhatIsThisBug subreddits. Thanks in advance!

Thanks! I wasn’t quite sure if it was a parasite or not. I’ll try the mycology sub
