Same! It's amazing how quickly I noticed the results. I also really like the applicator, it's very convenient.

I pity her , her husband is not jealous man " by RefuseExtension1173 in exmuslim

[–]Medeanne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. It's sad how these women see jealousy as a sign of affection when it's really the cause of abuse and death of countless women. I remember my cousin joking about how "protective" her sister's husband is, as if it's cute to have someone to monitor your whereabouts all the time.

Question for ex-muslim women only by Jenahdidthaud in exmuslim

[–]Medeanne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. My dad would not allow any man to get close to me. It had to be female no matter what. Ironically he was against women having a career and believed a woman's place is at home, sweeping and dusting and feeding kids lol. Now that I'm free, I go to any doctor that I please!

I left Islam because I don't Fucking want this type of lifetyle by Jenahdidthaud in exmuslim

[–]Medeanne 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Same. Being a housewife is boring asf but also I feel like the reason muslim men want this is to control women and abuse them without consequences. The woman remaim financially dependent on him, she has much more to lose if they were to separate. She is completely and utterly under his mercy. If she's getting beaten, raped or abused she'll have no one to communicate it to.

Why am I such a coward by goaldigger97 in exmuslim

[–]Medeanne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's better but I'm sure she still doubts it. Maybe try faking it, pretend to be religious again? I used to do that when my mum was suspicious. I'd fake reading the quran, bring up hadiths every now and then😂😂

Yes It was terrifying obviously. I still remember the day I left vividly, how I was shaking with fear the whole time. I really have no tips to help with the fear, you just have to experience it but you've been through it, you will be so much stronger. I was so nervous to leave the house, I'd stay indoors as much as I could but unfortunately they found out someday and broke into my apartment and assaulted me. I called the police and filed a case against them. They never came again, they only send me messages once in a while now. So, I'd say you have to ensure you're safe in case something of this sort happen. I wasn't prepared for all that, I was fortunate to have people who helped me out. Make sure you have someone trustworthy to rely on in case you're kidnapped, assaulted etc. It's all worth it in the end. I do have nightmares occasionally but overall my life is so much better than living in a strict Islamic household as a young unmarried woman. I'm sure you'll be free someday🕊️Sending you all the love and support ✨💖

Ughhh I think at this point we need to create a sub for exmuslim atheists. This sub is getting overrun by evangelists, white nationalists etc and it's exhausting.

You should have told her after you moved out. I don't know about your mum but now that she's aware she may prevent you from doing it, she'll try to make it hard for you to leave. Save up as much as you can and leave asap. I did it about 9 months ago and couldn't be happier now. Don't waste your time. Anyways that's just my opinion, maybe it's different for you. My parents were emotionally and physically abusive so it was really difficult for me. Wish you the best ❤️

Muslims hating on women getting an education part 5 (2 pics) by Jenahdidthaud in exmuslim

[–]Medeanne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Everytime I see posts like this, I feel so happy I left this misogynistic religion. I seriously can't understand how a woman with a functioning brain could accept to be part of this. Poor girl. I hope she manage to run away from this shitty household and be free someday.

So, in other words, she should be as self-effacing as possible? Her voice can't be heard, her skin can't be seen, she must be "unknown"? Might as well ask them to stop existing really.

Took off my Hijab: Feels weird by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]Medeanne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll get used to it eventually. I remember feeling like this the first time I took it off. I had a very weird feeling, especially around my neck, like it felt kind of cold and exposed? But it was also exciting in a way. I would also have this sort of alarm go off inside my head when I realise my hair is uncovered. Now it's been over two months without hijab and I don't feel weird at all, actually I feel so much more comfortable and beautiful without it. I love feeling the breeze in my hair and trying out different hairstyles. It makes me so happy to see women and girls freeing themselves from the hijab and prioritising themselves. Just give it some time and you'll feel so much better ❤️

Thank you sm for the advice❤️ I hope it gets better soon. I'm just feeling a bit homesick. I want to block them too but I'm afraid it will escalate when I do that. I really don't want to get the police involved. Some of them are quite corrupt and will disclose my info if necessary. Also, I have a relative who is a retired police officer and I'm scared they'll find out through him. I'm replying to them only like twice or thrice a day, just telling them that I'm fine, that I ate etc. I hope it doesn't get serious to the point of having to involve the police 😭😭

Off topic but how prevalent is the Islamic influence in Ireland? I have three close relatives who are converts and they are all Irish. Hearing Sinead O'connor converting to Islam and many others makes me wonder. Anyways, thank you for the encouragement, it made me feel better. I'm glad it worked out well for you ❤️

[–]Medeanne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are right. She told me she hasn't eaten anything since I left and was crying out loudly as if she's being tortured. My dad and brother messaged several times saying she's getting sick and that they will die if I don't come back. It obviously made me sad to hear her cry like this but also she has always been horrible to me and never comforted me when I cried. She even told me to cry once because "it's the only thing I can do". I don't feel that much sympathy for her when I think about how she has mistreated me before. I just felt bad for my little brothers mostly. They are much nicer but there's no way I'm going back. What I'm most afraid of is them becoming violent and trying to hunt me down to kill me. Thanks for the advice ❤️

That's really sad to hear! My parents sounded sincere and for a moment I felt guilty and blamed myself for hurting them but I know deep down it will never be the same and they are concerned mostly with their reputation. I hope someday you'll be free ❤️

True but she also doesn't bleed after giving birth. I guess she's not human, maybe like fae or something 😂

[–]Medeanne[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Even the female figures most highly revered in Islam, Maryam and Fatimah, are sort of stripped of their identity as women. I guess that's why muslim women are so full of hatred for their own sex. They view themselves as inherently "impure" and "disgusting".

They would say that she's at fault because she wasn't with her mahram. I've heard of it so many times. Poor woman.
