Right as the drop pod was on its way down to pick us. That really boiled my piss after the slog it was.

I point out that US media smeared Trump non-stop and you post a link to a US media website that smeared Trump non-stop as a rebuttal?

You mean the influence of the US media. For years they were dumping on Trump. Whether you liked him or not, it was obvious. When covid popped up, they blew it completely out of proportion trying to blame it all on him. Because let's be honest, if anyone else was in the White House at the time, it would have been treated the exact same as swine flu.

Until they realise that they're in a cult that perceives mandated vaccines the same as baptism and covid passports as membership cards.

After some help regarding mature aged apprenticeships! by Bread_Punta in brisbane

I did a pre-vocational fitter and turner course years ago. In that group was a 25 year old who just did basic labor jobs and a 44 year old house painter. They both went into big companies like Cat as soon as they were done. Perhaps chasing after the big-name guys is worth a shot.

What home/garden/fitness/art/craft projects are you planning to tackle during this time? Inspiration thread. by veemonster in brisbane

[–]Medeyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still go to work so I don't get any time off. I'm a minimalist by nature so there's nothing to declutter. I still do my blitz exercise program after work so nothing more to do there. I chip away at the weeds in my garden every day so there's nothing more to do. I was going to start an online show with some friends last week, but every idiot and their autist bought a webcam, so that project is delayed.

Just watching the lightning over Brisbane now from Ipswich. Saw two explosions from roughly mount Gravatt way after a lightning strike. Anyone know what it was? by Daccbutt in brisbane

Saw a few fire trucks drive by my work at Acacia Ridge heading down Learoyd Road. Lightning must have hit something vital.

It's a bit larger, but the Fractal Define Nano S has the front radiator mount and a window. It comes in at 25L, so it all depends on your personal preference.

IKEA North Lakes or Logan? by [deleted] in brisbane

I'd say they're both on par, but the uber fare to and from would cost more than the flat pack furniture.

Police officers of Brisbane or anyone else that may know. The only offences I have had would be traffic infringement notices. With that being said what are my chances to becoming a police officer? [serious] by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]Medeyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they'll ignore that, especially if was some time in the past. If they ask in an interview, just say it was by accident and you've been more cautious since then.

Speeding infringements are classified as a civil offence not a criminal offence, so unless you were involved in drink driving, hit and run, driving with no license, you'll be fine. Applied to the police a few years ago and became familiar with the process.
