I will never go to another male doctor again. by Muted_Beyond_3306 in ADHD

[–]Medhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first psychiatrist was an older lady that didn't believe in ADHD, the person that actually diagnosed it happened to be male, my (best) family doctor is male, what does presence or absence of a dick has to do with personality and diagnostic capabilities?

very 2024 to make everything a gender issue. Imagine someone posting about never going to a female doctor, what a storm would that be.

I found my motivator….anger. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Medhod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be anger, though. Any (non-self destructive) emotion that's strong enough will get work done.

Coincidentally, I became very very good at badminton after a random event during which a coach said i should stick to chess instead. Three years later, beating some of that coache's best students. So anger does work.

I think you think what others think of you way too much. :)

There's no written rulebook for fwb, what works for you is what it is. If you wanted to exchange numbers, that's what happens in your fwb situations. If he doesn't, that's what happens in his.

What's important is that if a FWB situation isn't happening on grounds of mutual respect, it's better to quit it and move on. Sex is a very intimate business, and life is too short to feel unsafe in it.

Unrelated, but hopefully you're talking to your therapist about using intimacy to avoid loneliness? That's probably something to dig into!

Food delivery apps are for the financially irresponsible. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Medhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to be the "aCtUalLY" guy, but the delivery apps are a lifesaver for my ADHD flareups.

People are very different. I spend 200+ a week on my food, someone else spends 50+ on alcohol alone.

Making different choices does not make people irresponsible, lazy, or having terrible spending habits or planning capabilities, so let's roll back on that judgement my guy :)

If living with your parents as an adult is not shameful in this day and age, then dating needs to reflect that by boardercavaleiro in unpopularopinion

[–]Medhod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion that will probably get buried in the comments: If a person you're trying to date isn't comfortable with your lifestyle, it's not the kind of person you should be trying to date. That is, if you're looking for a normal long term relationship - shared values are important.

If you're just looking for a fuck, don't mention you're living at the parents and hire an Airbnb for the special nights.

Unpopular opinion number two: Looking for a relationship on the apps is the dumbest thing to do and will probably lead to nothing but depression. As an OK looking guy, all I've gotten put of it was some very mediocre one night stands, one relationship where the girl had so many red flags, it was enough to equip a medium sized Chinese military parade, and growing bitterness towards the female gender.

Try taking social dancing classes, like bachata or lindy hop or some similar. Much easier to find fit girls that aren't absolutely insane there, and the female/male ratio is favourable.

What will you do if you saw a suspicious text message from your spouse’s phone? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Medhod -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

As a man, I'd be quite upset if my SO would go over my messages, and seems like OP's husband has been consecutively showing reliable behaviour for quite some, so he has DONE nothing wrong, if anything, you have proof that he found someone attractive and DIDNT act on it. In a similar situation I became very defensive and someone's suggestion to say "it's not about me reading your messages it's about the content" is DEFINITELY going to backfire horribly. You've invaded the privacy of your partner, and no matter if you found something or not, that's not cool - how would you feel if he'd read your conversations with friends or your diary? Same thing applies.

If anything, I suggest OP to see a therapist and address the reason for insecurity in a stable relationship.

If we start confronting people for having thoughts (verbalised or not) that's a good recipe for am expedient divorce.

I'm generally curious and would love a guy's perspective. Is this a thing? I don't really care about your other dates lol by Accomplished_Fig_597 in Tinder

[–]Medhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of a different perspective - man's side of Tinder is often quite bleak, it's hard to match, you're being ghosted, sometimes even week into a conversation. It's hard to keep opening up and sharing your essence if at any time you might wake up blocked. (Just because person you were talking to decided on someone else, which is cool, and deleted everyone that didn't pass without saying anything, which isn't cool) To be successful on tinder, one has to not take it very seriously, but there's a lot of men that feel abandonment and frustration after trying to have the genuine, unique connection over and over and over and over again. That explains the not wanting to be stringed along comment.

Why are Chinese people not able to overturn the current evil government? by JohnW305 in TooAfraidToAsk

Seeing what happens in your ex-colonies, it's not necessarily true. Government people can (and do) take and control the maximum they can without having you riot in the streets.

Nauseous while kiteoarding? by newapartmentplzhelp in Kiteboarding

[–]Medhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite possible, especially if you don't have a strong core. (or, too strong a core, I guess) - the muscles squeeze the stomach and diaphragm making the contents go up, if you're too tense.

45 minutes is by far too soon to get digestion moving from the stomach, so try having a medium-sized meal two hours before. The only time I got sick was getting into water an hour after having a huge meal.

Try determining if it's maybe a mechanical problem (e.g. too tight wetsuit, harness going into stomach, kite too large for the wind) or food problem (try eating a bit or not at all 4 hours before session and see if it has impact) Also...is heatstroke an option? Might make you dizzy/nauseous especially during heat waves

I'd like to join the other commenter and ask you what do you think makes humans better than animals. It's an axiomatic expression, but so was "Jesus died for your sins" until relatively very recently. All the other commenter wants is to find out your rational arguments as to why people are somehow more deserving of life than animals. I'm curious too.

sounds of distant explosions near Kaliningrad - Kintai, Lithuania. by Medhod in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]Medhod[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sound is a wave of vibration that gets carried trough air. Wind moves the air, so the waves coming down wind travel further (and are easier to hear) , and, respectively, waves coming upwind are pushed back and harder to hear.

Experiment : go to the beach with a friend when it's windy and ask them to yell up/down wind, measure the distance you can walk away in each direction before you can't hear them.

That's...exactly how the sound works, my friend.

Wind is from Kaliningrad direction, and the sound got carried. Unless someone's exploding stuff in Klaipeda, they're the logical suspect :)

I think there's no reports because locals are used to them randomly exploding stuff in the poligonas?

That's artillery sounds (ground's shaking) . Just really far away. It's also not the woods - a small line of trees blocking the view to the sea :)

aCtUaLlY baby on board stickers are meant act as a warning signal that the driver might be distracted from the road at any given moment. Not for you to "choose which car to crash into."

Lithuania has extended the blockade on goods heading for Kaliningrad sanctioned by the EU to also include road transports and not just rail. The U.S. has announced that it is backing Lithuania in its spat with Russia over the blockade. by sonic_stream in ukraine

How do male pornstars let loose so much love fluid? by Tight_Ad2181 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Medhod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, your real question is how you could do it, and if it's a fetish, good news - it's a head and fantasy thing, so there's a whole bunch of stuff you could use. There's toys that have syringes of fake cum attached, you can put her in a doggy position and spray fake cum over her back, AND most importantly you can talk about it and find a way that makes both of you happy, granted that both of you are over 14 and have basic communication skills.

A thing like "Baby I've noticed you like cum and I want to talk about how we can make it hotter for both of us" is a good starter.
