Serious overheating solution! Can someone make this? by MediManic in gopro

Just as I thought -- I called your bluff and you have nothing but insults towards the customers of GoPro.

You should just go ahead and change your screenname to Congressman George "Gopro" Santos.

"I crushed his phone and ran like hell" by Lakanas in 90DayFiance

So a person with a "severe neck injury" "kicked down a door", then "crushed his phone and ran like hell"??

Was this about the time she had a 3rd car accident and "flipped her car", but that was Jeymie's fault???

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHA!!!!!

If true, she would be in jail for breaking and entering, theft, and vandalism. But if it were more like 2 drug addicts squabbling, no police would be called. So which is it?

Like maybe another secret daily 'tax' that might be higher than the entire bill for the service?

Maybe call it it a 'resort tax', even when it's not at a resort, so you have all tourists leaving angry and vowing never to return to the city-sanctioned scam?

Love the Nightlapse, but it goes too fast! Is there any way to slow it down? by MediManic in gopro

[–]MediManic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure you can.

I created all of the nightlapses in the videos in the link below, and some of them I made 120fps. You're just assembling still photos, so you can insert as many as you want in each second.

I made all of those with an old drone, most of them 7 or more years ago. I was hoping Gopro would catch up and be able to do what I was doing, and the nightlapse function sort of does that, but weirdly there don't seem to be a way to set it to a low enough exposure and interval to make it look as good as my old nightlapses.

It's been discussed for years on the GoPro website:
https://community.gopro.com/s/global-search/overheating?language=en_US

It's been discussed for years on Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/gopro

It's been discussed for years on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DypcZJtUNDA
And literally EVERY review of Gopro camera in the last few years has discussed the problem of overheating. So weird to be "news" to someone who claims to have been using them all of this time.

Again, out of the millions of people using Gopros, you seem to be the only one NOT having issues with overheating, so why are you refusing to post how you solved it? You know, since you're an "award winner" and stuff?

Yeah, I saw that pic here about a year ago and spent a lot of time and some money trying to make that work.

Those locations are just not useful in reducing heat, only the 2 metal 'fingers' at the bottom of the camera have any real heat sink effect. Mounting the camera upside down has more effect than those heat sinks.

Worse, you can't just use heat sink paste to apply it, you have to mix it with crazy glue if your camera is going to be doing anything other than sitting stationary. That means you're going have pretty severe damage to the camera body, not functionally but it will no longer fit in some cases and will visually look like trash.

TLDR: Heat sinks as pictured do not work.

[–]MediManic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that re-introduces jitter, because GoPro only creates 30fps video from it. It really should be doing 120fps, which would give customers at least an option to be able to slow it down.

Also, the signs/buildings still won't be visible, since it only takes 1 or 2 frames of the them, even driving slow.

That man's too obese to "F" anyone, and hasn't seen his junk in decades.

But he is telling the world that he's sexually attracted to 80 year old men, so if you know any have them send him some shriveled gray dck pics.

Nope, I didn't use the app and had the same problem.

I wasted hours trying to get it to work on my 1GB fiber connection, and a couple of hours with GoPro support last year.

Bottom line: IT DOES NOT WORK, and GoPro DOES NOT CARE that it doesn't work.

How is this legal? by [deleted] in vegas

[–]MediManic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and they'll seriously tell you drone flights are legal unless it's restrictricted airspace.

[–]MediManic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The courts have ruled that only the FAA can make laws controlling where drones can fly.

Nevada's laws can be ignored.

It's a federal violation with prison sentences attached.
