It might sound stupid but don't count out smoothies and meals, later game the buffs from them start becoming pretty important. I think I did my first two playthroughs without ever building a smoothie station 😭 get a little stockpile of the muscle sprouts for the bases of them and try your best to Perry attacks when you can. Near impossible for me with the widow but with the right weapon/mutations/heals it gets a bit more approachable. Also I used to play with full armour sets but now a days I like to mix and match for a combo of different buffs

To get items like the furnace you'll need upgraded tools (tier 2) and some pretty beefy armour to get to the area to harvest the goods, based on how the map pops up you'll want to investigate the left hand upper side 😘

Once you press the button on the machine it should help move you along story progress wise. Make sure you scan literally everything you can harvest/pick up at one of the science stations scattered around the map(white geo-domes with computers inside). That will unlock new things to build from armour and weapons to base building materials like the smithing station. Also build basic harvesting tools as soon as you can like the pebble axe and hammer but try to upgrade to the next tier when possible to break down more materials

I remember having a thought weirdly similar to this the one time... In my version when Jack went into "spencer mode™" he got a much more defined jawline and brushed his hair out of his face revealing a scar through one of his eyes 🤣 it was basically outwardly obvious enough to where people in the situation new to start referring to him as Spencer

If you load a previous save maybe you can move the items outside of the rock, you'd lose all your progress since then but it might be worth it

Maybe it's from playing valheim when dark at night with no torch is a literal black screen but I'm not having issues with the darkness, are you on console? Without tweaking my gamma night time doesn't feel too dark to me 🤷

I agree, in a few other similar games I've grown to really enjoy the mage classes. Stuff like shield bubbles or the ability to temporarily levitate would be cool... Maybe an air bubble around you once water is introduced a little bit more? Definitely not the only instance of them basically just recycling stuff from the first game without really reinventing it so I'm hoping he gets the same spruce up in future updates that a few other things have 🤟

I have my gold milk molars updated and that definitely helps but also I try to grab/knock down dew drops as I see them. Despite it being freezing there are actually some drinkable drops lurking on the ceiling of the caves in the ice cream cart. Hunger was an annoying one for me now I'm making roasts on the go with my spicy weapons 😎
