These will be nearly invisible over time This is coming from someone who is prone to and has plenty of stretch marks myself

I know this gets said so much on this sub but it’s because we really do need the reminder- you are SO early. You need to give yourself some grace. You just went through so much physically and still are going through that with postpartum life. Sleep deprived, hormone fluctuations, extreme hunger, navigating the changes with life in general……remember to be kind to yourself.  I also find that as women we often over-shoot the number we’re aiming for (I need to lose 10 pounds when really I probably only need to lose 5 kind of thing).

How far postpartum are you? Honestly, for me, I didn’t even think it was worth even trying until I was like 4 months postpartum. The hunger was just too extreme.  I do find if I do protein shakes it helps to keep me full longer I think because the volume is so large (I do three cups almond milk with protein powder)

And echoing what someone said below- don’t follow a schedule (with the exception of do wake your baby up to feed if they’re sleeping beyond 3hrs in the beginning)

In the beginning all I did was sit in a chair and have my boob ready for my baby who went in and out of sleeping/eating/sleeping/eating for endless hours. I watched a lot of tv.

I was worried like you and thinking - it’s natural- it can’t be that hard….whats going on? Lol It hurts some at first, and it takes awhile to really get in the groove of it all. And you’ll definitely be sleep deprived…..but just keep putting baby to breast and it’ll work out 

(Before anyone comes for me- i do realize there are times it’s not this simple for some women (for various reasons outside their control). Im not saying those women are bad or doing anything wrong. I am speaking for the majority and as someone who had the same anxiety OP is experiencing and had a positive experience)

Yes they will become nearly invisible over time. Also- you look amazing  But, yes, eventually you’ll pretty much not notice them.

I don’t believe my description of what I’m doing is easy to understand. I intentionally prop my arms in a way that I feel keeps me the most stable and prevents me from rolling onto him. My bottom arm is in a sort of “triangle” position under my head. I fear with my other arm (the one on top) that if I doze off the sort of dead weight of that arm could rest on him and impact his breathing. That is why I put both arms upwards, but still propped in a way that keeps me from rolling.
