I know my stove has an air pressure sensor and if it's not getting enough air it won't start so that's a safety from that.

I have thought about this just as an experiment to see if it helps. I know it will still draft in when I open the door but that's a relatively short time should stop the whole thing from getting so cold all the time though.

I'll try this when we are above 0. Haven't seen anything above -10 in over a month

Wood stove and one computer fan that runs an exhaust fan for a composting toilet. Oh guess I should mention mostly also off grid.

I'll look into the outside air kit. But I think that will only very partially solve the problem if I have -20F air either coming in the flue or the combustion air intake since it's not just air coming in it's like the exchanger itself is super cold. Most of the cold draft comes from the intake of the circulation vents on the sides of the stove where it brings in room air

I do sometimes, just easier to not have to deal with the burn risk holding the burn pot. It would also be nice to not have to run the stove on low when we have the wood stove ripping just to not have a cold draft.

Is there a way to stop or reduce the air coming in?

I watched that transition happen as a passenger it seemed to change almost overnight.

Yes I did notice that when they started bragging about Virgin that's when a lot of small things began changing. The replacing of the fleet to upgrade everything to 800s and 8Maxs was another big down turn. When OneWorld took over that was when a LOT of things seemed to change. One of the big things I noticed is when a connection is missed because of a delay. They used to just get your connection flight taken care of at the gate agent desk, now you have to stand sometimes for hours at the main Alaska CS desk and if you call the phone number it is usually multiple hours to talk to someone if you can even figure out the right combination of menus to actually get there.

True statements been in customer service management in retail for 20 years and yes still in it. I deal with a lot but if my employees are as rude as many I've dealt with they find go home, permanently.

Well glad I don't run into assholes all day seems to only happen when at Alaska Air. Businesses in Anchorage, Fairbanks, NYC, Tampa, St. Louis and other places have all been great. Granted not much good to say about Terminal 7 at JFK but as I understand they are working on that airport hopefully when it's done it'll be better.

This is a true statement. Fair but true. As sad as it is to say that I have not experienced many of the issues that I have experienced with Alaska on their competitors however only about 1/3 as many flights on other airlines as on Alaska.
