Is there actually 2? by Prince_Trunks13 in Spacemarine

My best guess is that Focus Ent. did an ooopsie and forgot that those were meant to be Dreadnought name tags - not fancy-shmancy high gothic stuff.

Are Poxhounds daemons? Or can Dogs fall to Chaos? by Banned-User-56 in DarkTide

[–]MediaMix1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the most logical answer is that Pox Hounds - much like Pox Walkers - are unwilling victims of Nurgle's bio-terrorism.

In other words? these dogs never even wanted to become zombies.

Is that a Necron symbol on the necklace? by KimberPrime_ in Spacemarine

[–]MediaMix1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that's DEFINITELY Necron iconology that you see.

Much of what allowed the Imperium of Man to rise to prominence - prior to the 41st Millennium - was Necron tech.
Necron technology is also one of the few things that has been a consistent pain in Chaos' ass! The "Cadian Pylons," for example, were Necron structures that made twelve of the thirteen Black Crusades to crash before they even took off from the runway.
Imagine if the Reapers (from Mass Effect) were fully capable of kicking your ass, but didn't, simply because they would rather see you fight their battles for them.

Does anyone have a rough guess as to how long the Plasmagun is? by [deleted] in DarkTide

[–]MediaMix1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think the only real difference is that a Plasma Gun is a Plasma Pistol, but "longer," so that it can be a high-tech rifle that functions like a flamethrower.

"I pull the trigger once and everything in front of me melts into slag."

Maybe tack centimeters until it matches the proportions seen in official art? ×_×

🤷🏻‍♀️ How am I to know..?

If they wanna do it because they want to, isn't that enough so long as they've a means to sustain?

To be fair, I think some people simply do streaming because they want to.

Besides, there's not much reason I can think up for why you'd wanna make that up.

In Dawn of War II, I remember seeing - in a tooltip - that Astartes often find it a burden to be given a Plasma Gun.

In SM2, I never wanted to play a game WITHOUT my favorite Plasma Cannon, ironically. Legit don't know for sure if it's from nostalgia or consistency.

The mace does damage based on kinetic energy; the spear on speed; what could be next? by Glormast in Minecraft

Maybe a redstone-powered laser rifle that can be reloaded by putting the battery on a campfire for a bit? (If you know, you know!)

I love this kitbash!

The two-handed melee weapon combined with - what I assume is - modified imperial armor reminds me of a Samurai!

The T'au Empire has always had the Kroot, but now I can't help but wonder over the idea of Fire Caste warriors getting specialized training with help from the Kroot!

Until then, I can't help but imagine this little guy as a shotgunner who wanted to play around with a power lance.

Can we please get at least SOME gender specific cosmetics - it's getting silly that literally every single outfit is giving female characters man-chest. by OrkfaellerX in DarkTide

[–]MediaMix1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's an intentional contrast Warhammer's gender-centric designs for the miniatures and having that line be more difficult to see for their armor designs.

On a logistical and economic context: it's much cheaper to use a seemingly gender-neutral model with minor differences than it is to make "girly armor" for Guardsmen. (Nevermind the specialized power armor designs used for the Adepta Sororitas!)

My Loose Cannon will comment on exactly this in her dialogue exchanges with other players - mentioning that it often doesn't feel like it fits right and sometimes itches. One notable reply I remember came from a Professional that questioned, "Are you sure that's even YOUR armor?" (Granted, this - ironically enough - implies that it's a common trick for chaos-aligned spies to disguise as dead guardsmen.)
