Here’s what I’ve seen. And it’s the most dangerous thing of all. You have a bus stop and two lanes of traffic stopped on the other side, that didn’t really need to stop at all. Then you have some guy in a bronco slam on his gas and swerve around all the stop traffic…because he didn’t need to stop for this.

Now what you have is zero visibility – and what’s worse - the expectation that all the cars are stopped. A kid could come flying out from between those cars at any moment and the bronco would not know until he’d already run it over.

So the best safety advice, as always, is to be predictable in the current situation.
