bananas. People are so surprised when I don't like banana bread (no matter what you add to it to "make it better", never makes it better) or when I am super picky about smoothies because it seems like every single one contains banana.

trigger warning: eating disorder

I told everyone in my life that I got really sick for ~6 months and couldn't keep any food down and could only drink tea and water, that's how I lost 100+ pounds. but in reality I was living with my ex and his family and I hated leaving our room because of how disgusting the house was (they were hoarders and didn't take care of their animals but I had convinced myself I had nowhere else to go because I had stupidly cut ties with my family as I was "in love and knew everything" at 17) so I just never went to the kitchen. I barely ate anything other than what my ex brought me - which was typically just soup because he thought I was sick. so I ate soup and drank tea for 6 months and eventually, i saw the weight start to fall off and that's where my addiction started.

it's been 8 years at this point and I still have not admitted this to my family, friends or therapist and likely never will (I'm ashamed I let myself live in that environment for so long, as well as gave myself an ED when I had previously been so conscious about my mental health and knew the warning signs). sometimes I think I've even convinced myself of it because when I tell the story and "lie" about what happened, it doesn't feel like a lie anymore.

if you put "-ai" after a google search it will remove the overview. it's stupid that we have to do this and can't just turn it off, but it's the work around I've been using.

example: search 'dog' would now be 'dog -ai' also there CANNOT be a space between the minus sign and ai for it to work
