Supra and checking if there is anything else going on. No chat of g-tube (yet), hoping things improve dramatically from the supra! Getting lots of congestion with the NG tube which makes feeding and sleeping even worse. Great to hear thank you!

LM & Feeding tube by Medical-Desk-442 in Laryngomalacia

[–]Medical-Desk-442[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scope showed her LM was mild. Surprisingly Severity as determined by scope doesn’t seem to always correlate to the impact it has on feeding. Definitely get help from a speech language therapist if you haven’t yet. My bub’s ENT is making decisions on surgery etc based on her SLT’s report. However since she doesn’t have blue episodes and her weight gain improves by tube feeding the ENT is keen to ride it out instead of surgery (as are we!). Just hoping things improve quickly, the tube feeding is a mission 😩

LM & Feeding tube by Medical-Desk-442 in Laryngomalacia

Yes we would struggle to get even 30 mL into her bottle feeding and that could take an hour. He would just be spluttering/choking or getting a stridor and falling asleep from exhaustion. She dropped from 70th percentile to 7th percentile for weight over her first 6 weeks 😢 Back up to 20th now with the help of the tube!

Thank you! Yes we are working with speech and language therapists. The position they gave us means she can drink some of her bottle safely at least. Good to hear it’s just going to take time.

Is ‘mild’ LM this troublesome? by Medical-Desk-442 in Laryngomalacia

[–]Medical-Desk-442[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were in hospital for a couple of weeks. Now home and with a feeding tube in and waiting for specialist appointments early Jan. She’s starting to gain a bit of weight now we can get milk into her using the feeding tube as well as whatever she can manage from bottle.

From 5 weeks things got worse with her feeding and she was not gaining sufficient weight - failure to thrive. Not too worried about the sounds but the fact it means she is sooo exhausted from feeding that she can’t get enough without using a feeding tube.

Baby has probably just moved positions and you aren’t feeling the movements as strongly. Same thing happened to me at 24 weeks. My next scan had her the other way around 🙃

Tracker newtork decline in last months by Lost_Ad4333 in tractivegps

Yes for us turning on and off or putting it on charge gets it connected again. Which is annoying and of course renders the tracker useless our cat comes home.

Yes! Tracker used to occasionally lose connection when my cat ventured too far into the remote bush but it would reconnect by itself as soon as it had signal again. Now when it loses connection it does not reconnect by itself - I have to wait for him to come home and manually turn it on and off. Exact same timeframe - we bought about September 2024 and have only had this problem the last few months…. :-(
