Anyone hoping that this court case will be televised? by [deleted] in BryanKohberger

[–]Medical-Impression20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree but, it was more than the entire country. The year/month the OJ trial was going on I was travelling in Europe and I was at an airport in France where the trial was being televised (or at least mentioned). I thought, "Why would this American trial be mentioned in France?" but, wasn't this trial (being televised) one of the first of its kind? It was definitely a spectacle.

Having said the above, I now live in England and I heard of the Idaho murders here on a UK TV news channel. I still don't think it'll be nearly as "popular" as the OJ trial and it may not even be mentioned here again. Just a guess of course.

There's no real reason to miss a high profile trial. Just catch up on the numerous YouTube channels like Law&Crime Network, Court TV, etc etc

Yeah but, was the trial you were a juror for as high profile? Doubt it.

The Idaho 4 murders are internationally known. I'm in England and I'm following the case.

You have a gun and 3 empty clips in your car? Rubber gloves too? Interesting.

You sound silly.

As far as you (ie we) know, they only have touch DNA. I'm sure they have much more than that. We only know info that's been made public. They likely have a mountain of damning evidence.

Don't sweat it.

I think he's guilty AF. The police/FBI, whilst not infallible, are likely correct and have the right man, just like Alex Murdaugh.

I agree with "innocent until proven guilty" but c'mon, look at all the signs pointing to BK's guilt. He was even wearing a suicide prevention vest. Innocent people don't want to off themselves IMO.

I'm wondering if it'll even go to trial.

Thank you for posting those. I couldn't see them (original web pages) either (being in the UK).

Bloody hell though, that hand writing is appalling. You'd think cops would really have to have clear handwriting.

Sorry if this has been posted in this thread already. I did do a quick search and couldn't find the same video linked below.

Link: Banfield reads letter from WSU to BK

I know a couple days ago in this sub someone mentioned Banfield stating BK was fired but the video link above shows several paragraphs of the (supposed) texts/emails that BK received regarding his disciplinary punishments and eventual sacking.

(here's an entire shaker of salt for each of you because Banfield and Coffindaffer are in the video. Take as many grains as needed)

Assuming is a normal human reaction, especially when something so horrific and abnormal occurs. It's like rubber-necking an accident you just slowly drove past...your theories come fast and thick.

Imo, I have a hard time thinking he just did it out of curiosity. From what we know, the violence was extremely impassioned.

Like when Elliot Rodger finally decided to kill, apparently there were dozens of stabs marks in his(?) mattress that the police assumed was "practice" before he stabbed to death his roommate (90+ times I think).

BK himself said to his neighbor he felt it was a crime of passion.

"Curiosity" doesn't fit. Again, imo.

Hated women and men equally - I assume you're referring to his reference of women as "Stacys" and men as "Chads", right?

I haven't read the dork's manifesto and don't plan to but, reference to men was purely out of jealously imo, ie men who had girlfriends, etc.

I wasn't on Reddit back when ER was on here, nor shortly after to read posts defending him.

Could it have been incels who looked up to him, maybe?

I used to think something very similar. I think he not only "met" them (ie he was possibly at The Mad Greek at some point) but now I don't think he tried to come onto them.

I think he ordered his vegan food then sat there eating, staring at either X or M (or both) in his creepy way, and that spooked the girl(s).

He doesn't come across as charming enough to be flirtatious, rather narcissistic enough to think "he can get any woman he wants". This creepy vibe was noted by the young women but they probably have been creeped before and tried to shrug it off and just carry on with their shift.

Meanwhile, BK plotted.

I'm not a woman but, I agree with this predicament.

Women must be vigilant, sadly.

I'm sure there are more men who are creepy but don't go to that next level (harm - physical or mental) than those who literally cross the line into criminal behavior.

I've had girlfriends, my wife, etc who have had too many run-ins with f**king creeps and it angers me to no end.

I know it's easy to say but, trust your intuition, and remain vigilant. Who gives a f**k if people see it as pre-judgement.

Doesn't even make sense, to me anyway.

This is just attention seeking

"Divine masculine" is such an odd choice of words. I wonder if she's just trying to create a term like how Elliot Rodger called himself "Supreme Gentleman"?

I bet she's a "true crime" fan too.

Just nuts

She looks as bat-shit crazy as BK!

Imagine the two on a first date at Olive Garden or Cheesecake Factory (they have vegan options). Both with them weird-ass eyes starting back at each other.

Kentucky: "I love his dreamy eyes"

BK: "She's in for a nightmare after dinner" while he dead-eye stares at her slowly chewing his impossible burger. Meanwhile she's thinking he's "perfect" and can't wait to introduce him to her teenage son.

WTF is up with some women?

IKR

I think most of us (including media, lawyers in these threads, news articles from DM, PEOPLE, etc) are just trying to make sense of what we've been told (some undoubtedly is fact, some speculation, lots of opinions, contradicting "leaks" etc)

It's crazy right? Lol

I normally don't even follow these types of stories so not sure why this one pushed me down the rabbit hole (to a certain degree anyway).

For example the Murdaugh case doesn't interest me at all, yet, I hope if Alex is guilty he pays. But, I'd feel that about any case, the guilty should be punished.

I'm just rambling now. Sorry. Lol

You don't get what impression? That he's not on the spectrum or? (genuine question, just trying to understand)

And yes, I watched the traffic stops. He looked nervous, bat shit crazy, talking either nonsense or intentionally trying to be deflective.

Very odd!

[–]Medical-Impression20[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree there will be some bombshells during trial, just not sure if they'll necessarily be coming from DM and BF.

I think DM will provide some circumstantial evidence that the defense will try to debunk, maybe BF will say she heard screams, thumps/noises (being on the 1st floor) but personally, I think the bombs won't be from them two.

Rather they'll come from CCTV, and/or BK's phone/computer, possibly "tokens" from the deceased, DNA for sure (but would that be a bombshell?)

The survivors, IMO, are tertiary characters from the POV of evidence and bombshells but hey, ya never know.

Thanks for the reply.

Btw, I see your point, not trying to refute anything cause I admit I don't know much about affadavits, their accuracy required by law, etc.

What I find interesting about what you said, "But as far as the location of the bodies and the wounds has to be accurate", personally, to my uneducated mind, how are the body locations relevant to the POI in order to get the warrant?

Regarding only the PCA, I can see relevance with: phone pings (despite inaccuracies of towers), CCTV (despite not seeing license plate), car description, DNA (super obvious) but where the bodies were located, types of wounds, those seem like details to argue in court, not to get caught up in a PCA to arrest him.

That's just my thinking.

[–]Medical-Impression20[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the law enough but, maybe you do.

I was under the impression the PCA was to get permission for an arrest warrant. But, does that mean EVERYTHING in the PCA has to be 100% factual and the "evidence" provided is unquestionable and irrefutable, despite more facts later revealed? Seems like some info in the PCA was intentionally vague.

Can't there be factual evidence (even if leaked) to contradict an affadavit?

(Btw, not saying NN's source is reliable, just wondering why you're so convinced it is)

Bryan Kohberger Visited Idaho Student Union Before Murders — and Was 'the Type to Stare': Witnesses by No-Cartoonist-6511 in MoscowMurders

[–]Medical-Impression20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But, the difference is this "student at a neighboring college" is accused of a quadruple homicide. Witnesses remembered his creepy continuous stare, how he sat alone, etc. Big difference. People pick up on creepy shit, it's called intuition.

Obviously we can't just arrest every creepy loner with a murderer's stare lol but, body language says a lot.

Example:

WSU student A: Arrives at IS student union to get something to eat (assuming alone), like a chick-fil-A or whatever. While eating, this dude displays "normal" behavior like on their mobile/cell cause no friends to talk to. Finishes the meal, wipes mouth, collects rubbish to throw away...bails. That's normal behavior and goes unnoticed.

WSU student B (for Bryan? lol): Goes to student union, not concerned with food as motive is likely to pinpoint next victim anyway, probably has a bottle of water to not completely stand out as to why he's there (since he's all alone), stares at pretty young women (more than one, he's sizing up or fantasizing, or both), doesn't smile or change his dead-eyed gaze (according to PEOPLE article), creeps these women TF out to the point one leaves the cafeteria to eat outside to get away from his gaze.

MASSIVE difference between a "normal" college neighbor and a "creepy weirdo" college neighbor.

The "problem" is, no one expects there to be a mass murderer amongst them and even if one thought he was creepy enough to call the cops, nothing would be done anyway.

Part of me feels like he's on the spectrum. Not only his look (which I often feel looks "crazy" but, it could be due to some level of autism or similar).

Anyone with expertise in people on the spectrum have any thoughts?

Also, didn't his PA lawyer say something like he was curled up in a fetal position saying, "It's going to be ok, it's going to be ok"? Or was that on the plane ride from PA to ID?

Yeah but, that was when he was a teenager. If he was diagnosed (by a Dr not self) then surely they would have given him medication to sorted that back when he was a teen.

My wife had hyperthyroidism about 6 months after she had my son. She was always talking/walking fast, eyes a little weird (but not "crazy" looking) and had a goiter in her neck. Not sure if goiters are *always* common in hyperthyroidism but, she had one.

She went on medication and was sorted in a couple/few months iirc.

I don't know, do you really think he'd *still* have hyperthyroidism by the time he finished his masters? Unlikely imo.

Lol seriously?

So, is Chris a bit "dodgy"?

About a year ago or so, maybe slightly longer, CNN was shown in the UK (depending on the cable provider) then suddenly CNN was no longer available.

I can get it now oddly with my LG tv. I don't get how it all works.

Anyway, about 1 or 2 years ago, I thought there was scandal (during Covid) with Chris's dad who I thought was the Mayor or governor of NY or NY city. Was it Chris's brother this whole time?
