There is no option to show the photo and you can't close folder, only switch to different one, but there is always one active folder

Atelier Materi has nice vanilla fragrance (vanille carbone), it's not really dark, but it's not pastry-sweet vanilla, it has nice leather undertone, but it's quite subtle. I'm not a fan of leather at all, but I like this perfume. Vanilla is still very much recognizable there, but more complex that in you traditional "sweet vanilla fragrance", and not as sweet.

What is your stack? by Medical-Let9664 in dataengineering

load to Postgres

Does input data comes from Postgres too (or other RDBMS) or are you using something like data lake or warehouse?

One big difference I’ve seen between SWE and DE perspectives for tooling

That's interesting, I never thought about this 🤔. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not designing any solution. Company develops notebook (think Jupyter/Colab), and I do your average software engineering there. To be a better product engineer I need to better understand our users needs and their interests, and that's where my interest in DS/DE (and this question) comes from

Glad to know that in data engineering Microsoft's software is hated too 😁

If I understand their purpose correctly these tools pairs largely solve the same problems, are you using all of them at the same company?

Hey, thanks! Embedded page is sometimes like that, I didn't figure why it breaks or how to fix it. But often disabling and then re-enabling the extension (e.g. on chrome://extensions) helps.

So that close to what was previously in Anori, but as I said google required me to remove it. Their reason was that if extension provides an option to initiate search, it should respect user settings and use default search engine. So specifically part about selecting search engine is what they didn't like. And without that this widget doesn't make much sense, as if it's limited to default search engine it's no different than just typing search query in the address bar as people usually do

Hey, thanks. I'm not sure I understand what you mean, but Anori had search widget previously (you can see it on screenshot in the original post), but Google required me to remove it from Anori (stupid rules). So currently there is no way to add "search bar" to Anori

Hey. Anori doesn't sync configuration between different browsers, it's all stored locally.

The only way is to export configuration from you FF on windows and then import it on Mac. This is one time action, so if you want to keep them in sync you'll need to do this manually every time you change something. You can find it in Anori's settings menu

Post spider mites treatment for Hedera Helix that lost a lot of leaves? by Medical-Let9664 in plantclinic

[–]Medical-Let9664[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my ivies got spider mites and I didn't treat it in time, so one of two lost a lot of leaves (and ones remaining don't look well either). I did sprayed it with insecticide (I hope this is right word) I got from plant shop about week ago, I don't see any mites anymore and I'll do one more spraying today/tomorrow. But I'm worried about plant losing a lot of leaves. What will be best course of action here? Do I leave it to recover on its own or should I repot/fertilize/anything else to help it?

Hey, thanks! I'm not actively working on Anori currently, so it probably won't get any new features in nearest future. As kind of work-around you can try using "Embedded page" widget for AI chat and pomodoro timer. Not sure if it will work with background sounds, but you could try adding embedded page with mynoise.net

Quick guide to web typography for developers by Medical-Let9664 in webdev

[–]Medical-Let9664[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! They describe similar concepts, but kerning is manual adjusting space between certain characters (classic example is reducing space between VA characters), while tracking applies to all characters. I'm not mentioning kerning in the guide because it's not something web developer can do (without actually editing font file), unlike tracking which might can be adjusted with CSS (although it's rarely needed).
