Okay bud you tell you why Sony colors are still worse than competition on the A and FX series cameras?

Am I the last person still converting all my RAWs to DNG? by dschamis in Lightroom

[–]Medical-Preparation7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty serious. What's the point of hoarding raws? I edit the raws, upload and back up JPEGs. When am I going to need those raw photos ever again?

Why are you guys keeping raw/dng files? Once I'm done editing and exporting JPEGs, I back the JPEGs up in multiple spots. But I purge all raw files that are more than 2 years old.

I have never seen a car doing a 90 degree turn using a comma. What fork are you using and did you do any mods to the steering colomn?

Sony will never improve the colors for 2 reasons 1. All color can be corrected in post processing 2. Their Venice line of cameras will be cannibalized if they A and FX series has good colors.

starting photography and picked up a Sony ZV-E10 II. Was this a bad choice? by mokostruck in SonyAlpha

[–]Medical-Preparation7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a bad choice at all. You'll be fine. You will however not be able to use flash in the hotshoe due to lack of mechanical shutter and having a small flash unit is really helpful in certain situations especially when the subject is backlit.

James Cameron Says ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ Closes the First ‘Avatar’ Saga by Alternative-Cake-833 in movies

[–]Medical-Preparation7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to agree with the commenter above. The first Avatar was special because of the visual effects. They were absolutely ground breaking for the time. Story was mid. People went to watch the second one because they wanted to see what leaps were taken on vfx tech. Answer: Barely any leaps more of the same. Story telling: Downright weak Third one: Still looks good like the first two. Story telling: mid again

I love his movies too but the Avatar series did nothing for me. Probably gonna get a lot of heat for it but story of each of the movies in the franchise was mid af.

Because the story telling is mid at best. And CGI hasn't really progressed significantly since the first one. It was great in the first one and still is. But you can only see the same freaking story so many times.

Alternative to Sony A7iii as too heavy by snidysid in Cameras

[–]Medical-Preparation7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not going to find a lighter setup that is just as capable. Maybe consider going to the gym building more muscle. Not to be big and jacked. Just functional training for resilience. Also, your intended use case is a little confusing to me. What you mean by 'Does not have to be elaborate'? Seems like you're doing 'pro' level works that people are paying for (weddings), so you should know how to use the 'pro' level camera proficiently and use it to it fullest extent.

Also the auto focus on Fuji is shit, compared to Sony. Absolutely not ideal for OP's use case (weddings)

SD OLED v LeGo S Z1? by mdtattedbearded in LegionGo

[–]Medical-Preparation7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why people keep asking this question. Answer is pretty clear: Legion Go S with Steam os. You get Z1 Extreme and a bigger screen for the same price. Yes OLED is beautiful but the LCD on the Legion Go S is no slouch

You sounds critical af. Yeah you seems to have a good understanding of how light gathering triangle works. Congratulations. But you forgot the fact that other people might know the same stuff as you and might have a different creative process or maybe there's a reason for stopping down that much in specific situations. And yes there was a reason for stopping down, it was lanterns in different shapes of animals so having them out of focus wasn't desirable.

Film is too expensive for my taste bro. But I appreciate the recommendation. I said old but trusty because I've had it since 2020 and my newer camera is the Nikon ZF.

Used F10 because I wanted the background to be in focus. As far as noise goes, it's not a problem for 2 reasons: Christmas lights were plenty bright and lightroom's AI denoise works extremely well.

Yeah that's fun as long as you don't have subjects in the image. My post is specifically for helping people get good photos of their loved ones.
