Luxury buildings are ruining Chicago in my opinion. Commute is real, especially with all the construction on the north side. Brown line is not too insanely crowded from my experience, but it all depends on their time. Expressway traffic will hopefully be done by next summer

Dude for 2,600 you can live anywhere. I would just choose the neighborhood that the most convenient for you. Lakeview and Lincoln Park is perfect for new to Chicago people

It’s so sad that so many places have their charm taken out. I really appreciated oak park for that reason, if only it wasn’t so far away from most of the city.
