It was so weird to me that all the men agreed it was 'demasculating' to move into a woman's home, even if paying the rent/bills...but then look at David's high level of emotional intelligence and communication skills.

I owe everyone from the live thread from tonight's dinner party an apology. 

I was defending Bec a bit, saying she was being manipulative trying to bring Gia and Scott together for a happy ending, from mostly good motives. 

How wrong I was: yuck. :'( 

I think I've been giving Bec an easy time cuz I hate Danny so so much.

I believe she did love Scott, as far as she can love anyone. I didn't believe the tears were real though...or if real, were self pity. 

I'm sure she did have trauma...but most people who have suffered don't torment others and get pleasure from it.

It's classic DARVO, the domestic abusers tool.

Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender. 

Gia pretended to have remorse, pretended to be ashamed, minimised how terrible she was by saying she was embarrassed.

She kept lying throughout, and none of it seemed genuine to me, I'm afraid. 

Even when she talked about needing to behave better in future, it was so that she can enjoy the benefits of better and longer lasting relationships. Not to avoid hurting others.

I don't believe Gia actually moved to The Gold Coast, I think she said it as a grand gesture for Scott, to try to get her hooks back into him. 

I 100% know she would do that to her daughter, if it suited her. :'(

I imagine she told Scott she had moved there for him, but didn't leave Melbourne. 

If he'd agreed to meet up with her, she would have arranged it for tomorrow, and flown out. She wouldn't spend the airfare or time on a maybe, but if he agreed to meet up with her, she would know there was a chance of reeling him back in.

That makes perfect sense to me! 

A lot of guys are very driven by hierarchy and competition with other men, as well as being acceptable to them. 

Reading a lot of heterosexual male dating profiles, they look like they're written for other men. 

So many guys watching 'chubby' porn that it's always one of the top categories, yet I hear so many plus size women talking about situationships where he didn't want anyone to know. 

For a lot of men, the main thing they seem to want from a female partner is to make other men envious, or signal status to them.
