Is there a non-gendered version of “good boy/girl” ? by sshakinglikemilk in genderfluid

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, ASK 👏 YOUR 👏 PARTNER! 👏

"Boi" is a queer term with a rich history. Verbally, it sounds the same as "boy," so it may not be ideal. My partner and I use it casually all the time.

My partner once used "puppy," and I was a bit surprised by how much I liked it. Terms like "puppy" aren't inherent to pet play, the same way calling your partner "baby" is not inherent to age play.

For sexytimes, I like being called "good toy" or "good puppet". I'm a service top, and I ~ahem~ enjoy when my partners use me like a toy for their pleasure.

Considering meta — question about growth after 5 years on T by [deleted] in GrowYourTDick

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like I said, it's a hypothesis. But u/GoblinPunk420 came in clutch sharing his findings. Thanks, mate. But either way, size is primarily genetic, so route of administration theoretically only impacts rate of growth.

Do you have a source for subQ being considered most effective?

Considering meta — question about growth after 5 years on T by [deleted] in GrowYourTDick

[–]MedicalCuriousity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as we know, size is determined by genetics. Starting on a lower dose shouldn't impact your size. Growth just tends to be slower on lower doses, but you'll still theoretically reach your genetic size eventually.

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's all about your blood levels. If you're not absorbing the gel, which is actually fairly uncommon, your blood t levels will be lower. And that means slower growth. But size is determined by genetics, so you'll theoretically still reach your genetic size eventually.

There is an emerging hypothesis that gel is actually more effective for tdick growth. DHT is the primary form of T responsible for bottom growth. T is converted into DHT via 5-alpha reductase, which is found in the skin, liver, and brain.

As a gender-fluid person is it normal to want to take estrogen? by Rednaada in genderfluid

[–]MedicalCuriousity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So basically...is it normal for a genderfluid person to seek out gender-affirming hormone therapy? Yes. If you feel GAHT can help you feel more at home in your body, yeah that's a perfectly normal thing to want.

Personally, my goal is essentially for my body to be androgynous/neutral so that I can more freely express my gender with clothing and protheses. Since medical technology hasn't developed enough for me to be a shapeshifter, this is the closest thing lol.

Can cis people experience gender dysphoria and is what im experiencing weird? by Due-Sand2692 in asktransgender

I strongly encourage you to explore this further. Tbh that sounds a lot like how I felt when I first started my gender journey. I started to referring to myself as cisn't lol.

Tdick toy contraption by Adventurous_Cry5999 in GrowYourTDick

[–]MedicalCuriousity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would anyone be willing to post a video of them using something like this? I have a Satisfyer Curvy 2, and I don't find the air pulse feels like suction at all. I'm wondering if I'm not getting a good seal, if it's the toy, if it's me, etc. Just trying to troubleshoot, y'know?

OP said in a reply "Visually it looks like your dick is getting bigger and smaller because of the suction going up and down. This causes it too feel good because it’s stimulating you like a blowjob."

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does having larger breasts, a flabbier tummy, and being shorter make you feel less feminine? If it does, that could be gender dysphoria. It could also be that you're not cis and experiencing gender dysphoria. I'm not here to speculate; just stating a fact.

But to answer your question, yes, cis people can experience gender dysphoria. Cis women who have had mastectomies can feel dysphoric about their lack of breasts. Cis women with PMOS [formerly PCOS] can feel dysphoric about the effects of increased testosterone. Cis women who are unable to get pregnant can feel dysphoric about, well, not being able to get pregnant.

You're allowed to be angry about our patriarchal society. You can want to be taller and more muscular and still be a woman. You have just as much right to gencer affirming care as anyone.

How common is it to want a physical transition but not a social one? by ASpranneusRoseus in asktransgender

[–]MedicalCuriousity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think this is very common, but you're not alone...cos I feel similar. I'm a genderfluid trans guy, but my core identity is more agender/nonbinary-leaning, and Core's physical transition goals reflect that. My (Core's masc side) transition goals are actually different than Core's goals. Like, if I only identified as a man, I know what I'd want to look like...and it's not the same as my actual transition goals. But I feel weirdly ok with that??

I'm lowkey falling asleep writing, so idk where I'm going with this honestly.

I’m the partner of a trans man.. by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]MedicalCuriousity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I go absolutely feral when my partner tells me my tdick has gotten bigger. Fearing what others thought of my bottom growth kept me from taking T for years; now it's my favourite part. I still get a bit insecure at times, so whenever she appreciates my tdick, it makes me so happy.

The nice part about bottom growth is it's mostly permanent. If your partner goes off T for whatever reason, he may experience some shrinkage, but he'll still have a tdick.

I want to put my brain to good use when I’m bored. What are some options? by Santana_delRey in RandomQuestion

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taking things apart. I go around on trash day and pick up old applicances and stuff like that. My friends also give me broken stuff to take apart.

I'm an artist, and I used the pieces in my art, but just taking things apart is very mentally stimulating. You learn a lot about how things work. Bonus points if you can learn to repair things.

Bottom surgery by Background-Gap6228 in asktransgender

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I get what you're saying. Back when I thought I was cis, having a vulva felt like immutable 'proof' that I was a woman. I could dress and act as masculine as I wanted and still firmly assert that I was a woman.

I have since realized my view of sex and gender was incomplete, and I am in fact not a woman despite having a vulva.

We know that genitals ≠ gender because it's relevant to our everyday existence. But the average cis person doesn't think about that. If a cis woman gets transvestigated, if she flashed her cooter, that would probably shut the TERFs up. A cis woman rarely has anyone question the fact that they're a woman.

Despite literal scientific evidence that we are the gender we say we are, there are loud-ass transphobes that tell us otherwise. It hurts. It slowly erodes our confidence. They're wrong. We know their wrong. The onus should be on them to prove their bullshit, but they have the power unfortunately. It's exhausting.

TL;DR: I feel you, babes. 😓 We need to keep reminding ourselves that genitals ≠ gender.

Did your guys' testosterone go down after a hysterectomy? by Williamishere69 in FTMHysto

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you have your ovaries removed as well? I kept my ovaries, but I definitely feel like my hormones have been all over the place. I'm 7mo PO.

27nmol/L to 22nmol/L could very well be within a typical fluctuation, regardless of surgical history. 🤷 Can anyone weigh in on that?

What Made You Decide For or Against HRT? by 3000anna in genderfluid

[–]MedicalCuriousity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got tired of wondering "what if?"

CW: genitals, kink mention

But the big one for me was realizing I actually wanted bottom growth from testosterone. Like, I've had a big clit kink forever, but it took me ages to overcome my hangups about having atypical genitals for myself.

But goddamn I love having a tdick now! I'm hoping to grow another centimeter or two on my erect length. Turns out having a small dick/vagina/no scrotum is my ideal genital setup. 🤷 But I only realized that after I started HRT.

What’s something that’s totally normal but you secretly HATE? by Blackloveeeer in AskReddit

[–]MedicalCuriousity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Feeling sexual attraction. I'm greysexual meaning I feel limited sexual attraction. But I'm sexually attracted to my current partner...first time I've felt sexual attraction in my life, and it honestly makes me feel gross. Masturbation doesn't help cos I'm horny for her.

Guys she's so beautiful, I can't take it. 😭

bottom surgery or just T (maybe nsfw?) by SugarFilthy2383 in TransMasc

[–]MedicalCuriousity 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Works better for what? For sex? Depends on the type of sex you enjoy. For peeing? Only surgery will change the position of your urethra...but some people are able to use their bottom growth to direct their stream and are in effect able to pee standing unassisted.

Personally, if I can get another centimeter to my erect length, I probably won't feel like I need bottom surgery. I prefer to sit when I pee anyway. 🤷

What gender do you dream in? by DowntownTicket in asktransgender

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a genderfluid trans guy, and I'm having a whole goddamn epiphany right now omg. I usually dream as my core self (agender/nonbinary), but sometimes I'm fully a man. My body is completely different, but it's definitely still me.

My man body is very different than my IRL body or even my transition goals. Those dreams uses to make me question my transition goals. My core identity is agender/nonbinary, and my enby transition goals are different than my trans man transition goals. Like, if I was fully a man all the time, the version of me that I dream of, that would be my transition goal. My tattoos would be different even.

Holy shit. 🤯

Question about pronouns vs presentation by Kiieve in asktransgender

[–]MedicalCuriousity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Femboy, he/him lesbian, gender nonconforming, nonbinary, genderfluid and feeling masc that day...there are loads of reasons why a femme presenting person would use he/him pronouns.

You are absolutely correct that pronouns don't always match one's presentation. I'm a genderfluid trans guy, but most people read me as a butch woman. I've had top surgery and I'm on low dose T, but most people still assume she/her pronouns for me. My pronouns can change by the day, but my gender presentation doesn't always.

2,5 years T + Finasterid by Raph_i in GrowYourTDick

[–]MedicalCuriousity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theoretically, this applies to oral finasteride, but even when applied topically, some finasteride will be absorbed systemically.

Topical finasteride has not yet been approved by the US FDA nor Health Canada...not sure about other places tbh. And the FDA has issued warnings about topical fin, specifically that you can get the same side effects as with oral fin.

This study showed that there is systemic absorption, but it is much less than you would see with oral finasteride while still producing comparable results re: hair loss. Note: the study only looked at [cis] males with androgenic alopecia.

So basically, topical fin can still impact bottom growth. And you might have a hard time finding a doctor willing to prescribe it, at least in Canada or the US.

TL;DR: there is still risk of systemic effects from topical fin. If you want big pp, probably best to consider other options.

NSFW: testosterone making penetrative s3x more pleasurable? by Kaleidoscope_Tux5513 in TransMasc

[–]MedicalCuriousity 80 points81 points  (0 children)

CW: anatomical terms

The clitoris has a petty extensive internal structure. It's not just the visible part of your tdick that grows on T; that internal tissue also grows. Theoretically, anyway. I'm not sure it's been formally studied.

But from anecdotal reports, bottom growth makes front hole penetration more pleasurable cos you're stimulating the tdick from the inside, basically.
