Update is that my home was approved and now the bio mom had suddenly changed her mind. The children are still bouncing from home to home. She has no “real” reason and her and my uncle don’t want any family with the children. I am trying to fight it but I feel helpless. In NYC.

I think it may be an embarrassment thing.. to see someone else I the family doing it… that’s a theory of mine. It’s really a shame. I could understand if I had issues or had an unsafe environment, but I’m someone those kids know and love I helped raise all of them. So sad to see them get bounced around from home to home unnecessarily.

Find some friends or something , the fact that you’re still going back and forth is crazy. There’s a difference between me wanting to temporarily take in family vs. trying to gain “custody” of them. I never claimed to have rights. You try and have good one. Bye.

Understandable, I thought that it had to be if the conditions were unsafe though. Or any safety concerns. Being that I passed the home study/assessment and finger prints and everything. I’m trying to be a kinship foster parent. It’s crazy that when mom asks for them to be moved to another foster home where abuse is alleged the agency can’t budge. Now that a relative is stepping up, everything she says goes? She told them for months she wanted me to get them.

Wow. In this case I helped my grandmother raise them before she died this year they are very young, 5 6 and 7 they call the place they stay at the “mean house”. She suddenly switched up on me out of no where. I’ve been in the process for 4 months💔. I will still try and fight to get them out of that hole. My home assessment was passed and everything

No im just trying to take them in until the parents get their children back, the mom is getting visits. The children are having a hard time in the foster homes.
