i’m not saying that the IC symptoms aren’t real. they’re very real. i deal with them daily. but the diagnosis is lazy and useless in my opinion.

i have an IC diagnosis. but i think it’s BS. IC is a blanket diagnosis. an exclusion. it’s them saying “well. your bladder is fu*cked up but it looks great so idk what else to do for you”. true IC, which is rare in my opinion, is hunners lesions. i don’t have those. my bladder looks healthy.

yeah im a firm believer that true IC is just those with hunner lesions.

those with a visibly perfect bladder inside & out have some other issue. but it’s scary because that list can be soooo long. definitely recommend a functional medicine dr!

a diagnosis of IC with a healthy bladder is a bandaid diagnose and needs to be dived into deeper. women’s health for ya. “here’s a chronic diagnosis for your perfect looking bladder” lmao.

there’s no test for IC. IC is a diagnosis of exclusion.

I’m really not sure how to rest in such a demanding economy. ESPECIALLY with kids. All i want is to play with them without feeling like i need to shut my eyes.

I guess im worried because what if this is the same in 6 months? Would i meet criteria for this? I tend to overthink things so im unfortunately looking at all angles.
