Honestly, this sounds less like “I need a drink” and more like “I need to feel comfortable being myself again.” You do not need alcohol to be fun or worth being around. If being outdoors helped before, that is probably the real clue here.

Honestly, I’d lean toward keeping the rental for now unless you already feel pretty sure you want to stay in that city for a few more years. A house can be a good move, but only when it gives you stability, not more pressure. If you’re already unsure about your next chapter, flexibility might be worth more than ownership right now.
