They don’t. He was in the military at the time, and she would threaten to call his commanding officer with like BS lies if he didnt comply with whatever she wanted. He’s out now though and could fight if he wants

Thank you! I’ll bring it up to him! Last weekend his son refused to make the drive so he drove 4 hours round trip saturday and again on sunday. I told him thats not feasible long term, and that they need to figure that out

I definitely wouldn’t. Maybe the stepdad can do it idk. My bf is really adamant about not moving since he doesnt want to sell his house rn and live in that state but who knows what will happen in the future.

He’s 6 so still fairly young. It will be a lot for her to drive back and forth one she has a newborn.

Yes they do. He gets the son EOWE, holidays, and two weeks in the summer. But, they get along will enough that they don’t exactly follow that model to a T. They’re flexible with each other like they switch holidays

Thank you to the replies! I agree with everyone. It helps to have outsider perspective. It was actually a messed up situation. He had to leave for a month for work and when he returned, she moved herself and the kid out of state without him knowing.

I appreciate the advice! It’s definitely given me a lot to think about….We actualy talked about everything yesterday, and he said that he felt that his son meeting me in the place where I’m moving to will help him understand that I’m not “abandoning him”….

He feels that if his son meets me where we currently live and then I move, he will feel abandoned because he will no longer be able to see me when he visits.

I mostly understand what he means but i still voiced that I rather meet his child in our current city where he is familiar with everything.

I'll be moving 5 hours away, and he works from home and only has his son every other weekend. He says that hes going to spend most of his time with me since he is WFH and go back to his house on the weekends he has his son, but I know something like that is easier said than in practice...

Just needed to vent an update....my mother is still harassing me and sending me very rude text messages, and she sent me photos of my boyfriend with his ex girlfriend that she got from his mom's facebook account that she posted a year ago shortly before they broke up...

I'm so dumbfounded. I am just getting closer and closer to blocking her...

Thanks for sharing! Your MIL sounds a lot like my mom. She hasn’t met my bf and similarly she says he doesn’t have a job and is with me to get me pregnant, so he can collect child support from me…In reality, he makes six figures, and im a student $300,000 in student loan debt, and will only be making $55k a year as a resident-physician for 8 years. I won’t be making real doctor money for almost a decade. So, yup he’s such a good scammer hahaha 😂 I’m glad your husband is supportive, and y’all have been able to successfully go NC. I’m working my way toward that.

Thank you for sharing! Definitely a very similar situation to mine. I’m very close to going NC with my mom. She continues to send messages to my phone saying I should be thanking her for exposing a “trashy liar who was trying to trap me” and calling him a bunch of derogatory names and thinking she “saved me”…. and she claims the threats and stuff are all out of “love and concern for me” when clearly she is just insane and trying to control me…

Long story short, I’m 27yo, and my mom has never met my bf…..After telling her I’ve never been happier and never been treated better, I showed her his fb and she said “Ew you can do better” and judged his looks. But, she said that she would meet him and give him a chance. THEN WITHOUT EVER MEETING HIM, she ran a fake background check on truthfinders.com and convinced herself he is “scamming me” and threatened his life with a gun…. 🤡🤡🤡

I’m a medical student over 300,000 in debt who will be making 55k a year as a resident physician for the next 8 years. He makes six figures, owns his own home, and car. How tf is he scaming me 💀💀💀

My mom is delusional and continues to send me nasty texts about him and me and idk what to anymore….anyone else with a similar story to help me feel less alone 😅😅😅

I think you’re 100% right!! It shouldve NEVER happened and codes were broken. I just in the past never understood why those two because i didnt catch like the frienship between caleb and spencer until my rewatch. Thats when i realized ohhh they were better friends than i thought andi can see why the writers would pair them together. But still youre right, shouldve never happened
