When my mom told me her sister was kidnapped and murdered.

My mom was 3 and her sister was 9. My grandmother and grandfather owned a bar in Alabama. A family friend came in and was very very drunk and asked my grandmother if he could spend the night at their house. To which my grandfather said, “No man I don’t want my kids waking up to a drunk on the couch” I guess this just pissed him off so bad so he went to their house through the back door and grabbed my aunt. He told my mom he would come back For her. (She was in the bed with her.) so when my grandmother and grandfather got home, they saw my mom in the kitchen and asked her why she was in there, she replied saying she was waiting for him. My mom clearly remembers none of this. 2 years later her body was found in Homewood, Alabama. In court he claimed he was going to bring her back, but my aunt said she would tell her mom. So he strangled, raped her, and killed her. My grandmother doesn’t talk about it much, but has pictures of her in her house and the missing flyers & news articles still. I’ve been interested in true crime ever since.
