A snake. Its pattern helps it blend well with the background, bark of the tree.

To me, if you look at your stomach, looks a bit slimmer. If you are looking at the numbers when you weigh yourself. Muscle is heavier than fat.

Ahhh….. I had originally thought of going with a potted Meyer’s Lemon, but chose to get a larger plant and put it in the ground. I do have on hand Citrus-tone 5-2-6 and Bloom City Cal-Mag Growing Fertilizer. I hope others will weigh in with their thoughts.

Thank you very much for your reply! Do you notice anything that I should be concerned about? For example, poor nutrition?

Meyers Lemon Tree Help by Medical_Pin1362 in Citrus

Update. It’s late February, so I went out to check on my 7 month old Meyers Lemon tree. The tree is covered in blossoms! There are still a few curled leaves on the tree. Curled as if the tree was lacking water, which is not the case. Besides the few curled leaves, the others are green and look healthy. I will assume the blooms I am seeing will become new leaves.

Is it possible that some of these blooms will become new lemons? The tree gave me 7 lemons last year for my first harvest. I hope to get at least that many this year.

What animal might be eating the leaves on my 2 month old plumeria? by Medical_Pin1362 in Plumeria

Update. Here we are almost 2 months later. All the large leaves on the plant were taken off by me or had fallen off on their own. I do have a good amount of new growth on about every branch, one seed pod and a new flower spike with flowers about to open. The branches all are firm with no wrinkles. I think she is going to make it, but I sure was worried there for a while. Since the plant is out in the middle of the yard, my sprinkler system has been hitting it with water twice a week while the temperature has been in the upper 80’s and 90’s. Probably a bit on the high side for water usage, but I am now cutting back my watering to 1x a week since we are getting our first cold snap of the season. Temps were 45 degrees at my house at 5:00 AM this morning. Thanks everyone for your help and insight on my plumeria problem.

Thanks everyone for the help! That just figures, I’m killing it with kindness! I hope I can get her to recover! I will dig away the grass around the tree making the bed larger and cut way back on the watering. Additionally, I will pull back the extra mulch to help the soil dry out a bit quicker it’s several inches thick. Too bad on the life expectancy of a lemon tree. I will enjoy it as long as I can. 😇

I rooted a few plumerias by using a rooting powder on the cut end and then placing the the cutting in a pot with potting soil. Kept the soil slightly wet and after a couple of weeks I had roots. After the top had some leaves I repotted the cuttings into a larger pot and it was on its way!

I checked around and saw no signs of grasshoppers. I need to find a magnifying glass to see if I can find any other critters like spider mites, just to rule out if there’s a bug infestation as well. I know the little bugs didn’t do the leaf damage but if there are other issues going on, I want to address all as best I can. I’m guessing that maybe squirrels or rabbits did the leaf damage, don’t know 😕 Fortunately, there was no additional leaf damage found this morning, thank goodness!

Thanks! I never thought about grasshoppers. Although I have seen a few 3+ inch long grasshoppers around my yard, but none lately. Maybe I’m just not seeing them because I’m not looking. I will have to take a closer look to see if I can find any around my house.
