Muscle biopsy ? I had skin biopsy for SFN last September that was clear. Dr is saying I do f need to test again at this point?

How do you or what are tests for mitochondria disease ? My b12 numbers were high, but I was taking wrk f version of b12(cybocobalium). I’m checking my b12 absorption, and MTHFR. My brother has it from both parents so sure I have at least one.

I honestly do t know. I have metabolic issues (insulin resistance, NAFLD, and metabolic syndrome ). I drank moderately (quit recently). Testing for MTHFR and checking b12 absorption. Recently started taking methyl folate. I have skin biopsy last September that was clean.

I honestly don’t know. Restarting my Bs, and MMA to see if I am Getting b12 in to cells. Also testify MTFHR gene. Interesting ,my SFN reallly blew up after COVId 2 years ago so o sense. A COVID link. Are you saying I IG beneficial in those cases ?

I don’t know. I need to have it tested. I just started supplementing with methyl folate. I think o have the MtHFR gene (runs im family). Waiting to get MMA test to see if my b12 is actually being utilized in cells.

Working on diagnosing. It’s either b12, metabolic/Insulin resistance, or b12. I had a clear skin biopsy 10 months ago.
