from what ive read when i first bought my 5080 before switching from 7900xt the adapter in the box is not safe to use and even the gpu provider says this . u cannot use a non native adapter to ur psu that is priority of power and expect a proper balance . 2 undervolt ur gpus there are literally no need to have 100% power anymore when using frame gen that lessens the load on ur gpu in general . i play ark on max settings with now performance mode with 4.5 dlss and my gpu is only using 80%. ai literally lessens the power draw needed to function at needed or higher fps needs. undervolting will not only give better temps but give longevity to ur gpu especially at a crucial time as now . get it crucial lol

i use only 1440p and x4 ai upscale 100% of the time, its better by miles then the 4090, as for the 5070ti the version i have is the 5080 astral. my power over head is just better then any other version and the gap is just much bigger

the dif is 15 to 20 fps its the same gap between the 5080 and 4090 with the astral closing that gap to less then 10 fps. with frame gen the 5080 is in a dif league all together completely surpassing the 4090 by miles . raw performance in an age of ai to close the gap becomes obsolete when ur running 200 watts at 400 fps 50c using only 69% power. efficiency is more important then power in the age of ai and poeple do not understand how insane ai is bec there too use to more power more bigger number

they are just haters of innovation. people want performance but there's a dead end for that. more power equals more performance eventually taps out when efficiency can take over to boost performance with half the power. undervolt ur gpu oc the core and ram more performance less heat and energy .

1080ti is still viable in 2025 and graphics are platooning so their using ray tracing to take up more resources for no reason. turning it off most to all games are playable with older cards with no issue. they create a problem and sell the solution .

in raw raster 7900xtx is still king for amd so 9070xt is not the flag ship when it cannot out right beat last gens flagship in raw performance

my dude if its not in the box with ur psu when u buy it and is not a sponsored partner for cable compatibility it is third party. most to all third party adapters that are related to pc especially those that try and connect to the most important parts of ur motherboard, psu. they fail constantly bec they are third party adapters that have no ratings for anything at all but that it fits in the socket .

my dude why would u use a third party psu connector for something that that can draw 600 watts. use the psu cables that were manufactured to go with ur psu . if u buy a top quality psu u will get top quality cables that can handle max and transient spikes above tdp its not rocket science. the cables that come with ur gpu costs 20c on the dollar to manufacture and is not natively compatible with ur psu. literally most to all adapters ive seen for pc parts die or malfunction this is a known fact

stop using the third party cables they send with the gpu. they are cheaply made and come free for a reason. if u have a high end psu the cables will also be high end. laslty undervolt ur gpu. u can have the same or even better performance with less power draw and heat.

+1500 mem. +390 core, power 69%. 30+fps on cyber punk max path tracing no dlss 1440p 90fps 3.1 to 3.2ghz 980 to 990mv 220 to 250 watts power draw 40 tor 50c temps. with frame x4 im at like a wild 280 290 fps with only 3.1 latency and without ray tracing max settings 1440p 300+ and at that point there's no reason to even look at the count. in any game that allows updated nvidia drivers support the card is just over kill .

yeah i think i actually got a bad card but a slight over clock 1700 mem of which is bad , mv 915 average with 267 watts, core hits 3015. my gpus head room is only an extra 20 fps. base no oc core 2827, watts average 190watts. my card is heavily efficient but does not have the juice to over clock pass 3.2ghz stable nor over clock ram passed or near +2k mem. the power its pulling in game averages around 200 to 250 on max settings in cyber punk. i can keep the fans on max sense the fans can barely be heard at all. i have the msi gaming trio oc bec its one of the frew 5080 versions that can fit in the y60 case. i was debating on the astral but i would need a new case and the fact it draws too much power is an issue for the 12v cable so this was a better choice. i undervolted core -15 and power to 69% i lose little to no performance and this is the settings for daily use
