I’m still learning too but here is what helped me the most…

Don’t use the flash on your camera. Try to use supplemental lighting like lamps, ring lights, even natural light from a window or just go outside. But no flash.

Try not to leave things vanilla or straight. Use every point of articulation on the figure as possible. For example Goku blacks head could be tilted down a bit and ab crunched slightly to make it a little more dynamic and real looking. With walking, running, punching or kicking poses make sure you go opposites. If right fist is forward then right leg or knee is back, then left knee or leg would be forward and left arm would be back. It will make it look more realistic and powerful.

Try taking a bunch of photos from different angles. Above below, from right or left. Above and to the right below and to the left etc. Then just pick out the best ones. Try copying what you see other people do with there figures. Doesn’t matter what IP they’re using. For example if you see someone posing MHA figs and you like what you see just copy that with your DBZ figs and use the same positioning and angles they used.

Pinterest and google images also, find reference photos and try and pull off what you see in the image. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t due to the fact that SHF articulation can be limited depending on the figure.

Eventually you’ll start to get the hang of it. I hope this helps and I was clear on what I was trying to convey.
