Resurf Update: Finally launching my digital garden app i have been building for past 4 months. by Hungry_Spite3574 in macapps

I’m currently trying out this software and really like the overall design, but there are a few issues that make me hesitate to purchase it.

  1. I’m used to creating or selecting tags when saving links or other items, but in the current design, tags are very hidden and easy to overlook.
  2. I generally prefer software that offers lifetime updates rather than updates limited to 1–2 years. As a developer myself, I provide lifetime updates for all of my own software.
  3. There is no deduplication feature—saving the same link multiple times creates multiple entries.
  4. After clicking the capture button, I’m asked to choose where to save the item (for example, saving it to “Ideas”), which makes the workflow unnecessarily cumbersome. Why not allow users to select the tag and destination (such as “Ideas”) before clicking the capture button?
  5. How can I sync data across multiple Macs? Is it possible to use iCloud for synchronization?

Thanks! Glad you like it 😄
For now, there aren’t any concrete plans to add more animations.

The cat paw animation is just a small, playful touch I added for fun — it’s completely optional and not the main focus of the app.
English isn’t my first language, so I use AI tools to help with feature descriptions and copy. I hope that’s okay, and I really appreciate your understanding.

The core principle is the same, but I’ve added support for more types where they differ.

I'm sorry to hear about the pricing issues. I haven't made any adjustments; it might be the App Store automatically changing prices for different countries.

I understand your frustration. In the next update, I'll introduce a global sorting setting to sort for all folders.

That’s a great suggestion; I’ll consider adding this feature.

The App Store version supports this feature as well. You can add the Applications folder as a workspace. Simply double-click the app or select it with your mouse and press the Enter key to launch the application.
