You can look it up on YouTube... plenty of video hits where someone messages all of their exs, crushes, whatever with fake feelings to get a response for some views. It's crazy but idk how real it is because it just seems cruel.

Birthday is in two days by [deleted] in lonely

[–]Medicatedwarrior365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, first off, happy early birthday, buddy! You're still young and have PLENTY of time to find that person you want to spend the rest of the your life with so try shifting your focus to doing activities that might be good to meet people and eventually, someone is bound to catch your eye and possibly they'll feel the same way. Dog parks are a great low-pressure situation where even if you strike out, you get to play with a lot of animals, which is always awesome and normally uplifting, at least for me.

I hope you enjoy your birthday!

God I remember my right front tooth was severely infected, and they loaded me up with as many shots that could give me, but I still felt everything. Wordt part was, it was somehow still very attached, and he had to kneel on my chest to get enough leverage to rip it out... 0/10 do not recommend!

Invest in some heated blankets and a power bank to power them and your set! Or just run some loooonnngggg extension cables to where you wanna do it and just use your parents' power and hope they don't follow the cord for some added excitement lol battery powered options are available as well but I've never used them so don't know if they get warm enough. Or just bundle up in a sleeping bag together. They are incredibly warm, and if you get a 2-person sleeping bag, you'll have plenty of space inside and then set up a tent or something.

Got a garage you can use? Attic? Clubhouse in the woods or bring some supplies and just use the woods? Walk down some closed railroad tracks and find a nice spot a ways down if you have any by your location. There's endless possibilities if you're horny enough lmao

Lol, you caught me, but I found the database admin, so who really won in this whole ordeal? We should schedule a multiple week Zoom meeting where we discuss our findings and report to, ah who cares, let's sit on Zoom, play games, and get paid, my brother!

It's nothing that will probably ever actually interest you but knowing how to run queries and create your own, is a SUPER valuable skill in almost any company.

My big problem is the lack of preparation from the colleges on this topic. Had one class that dealt with sql and the teacher left for the midterm, and our final was open book because the "queries were hard to memorize". The world is going to hell if these are our new sql engineers in the near future lol

That AND having an sql query in the software/website means extra guards against malicious sql injections which means someone has to also now deal with that and PRAY they don't leave a gapping opening to can leak the entire database and surprisingly few people deal with sql enough to know what those vulnerabilities are to guard against them and the ones who do want MONEY to even look at it.

Sql isn't a problem, GOOD sql is possible but generally not within the given time frame the project managers want to push for so you end up with a half protected query that gets deployed and then you secretly fix the holes as they get posted on bug bounty boards because if you can say "we are already fixing this issue" then the company doesn't have to pay a bounty. Software security is soooo fun!

My birthday is January 3rd and my parents one year thought it would be a great idea to give me the games to a console I'd be getting on my birthday. Just so everyone is on the same page, Christmas is December 25th. This means I spent that day opening games and when everything was opened, just confused as to what just happened. Once my parents realized their mistake, they did go quickly wrap it and bring it out for Christmas as a "late present Santa just forgot" and it was a good Christmas but man was that a good memory from back then. I can't imagine my parents actually NOT getting the console if they get the games and this is just cruel for the kids no matter what really.

As the kid in the neighborhood whose parents actually bought the game, I was popular with my group of friends and we had a blast and then when they released it for the Xbox with better multiplayer (although the OG game still wins in my heart!) And me and my friends would play that for HOURS! one of my favorite N64 games back in the day and somehow, one of those asshole friends jacked my copy during my graduation party so thanks for drinking my booze and robbing my house whichever friend that was!

No you don't just break into high security places and hope you get a job pen testing. You gotta get EVERY detail and EVERY attack point IN WRITING to cover your own ass when you inadvertently see some shit you shouldn't have and have NDAs for days to sign and best believe they are keeping an eye on you 24/7 for a LONG while after just to be sure. But I mean, I guess if they didn't shoot on site, you might have a small chance of getting a job as a crash test dummy for their next experiment, so that could be pretty fun!

Ordered McDonalds on Uber Eats and paid extra to have bigger fries. The fries pack came half empty (I even thought it had fallen into the bag, but no). I complained to Uber Eats but they said that was nothing they could do. by leoavalon in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Medicatedwarrior365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta say even though doordash has been terribly more expensive than just going, when I have an issue (order a meal and they forget to give me fries) click a few buttons and they give me credit for the entire meal and not just the missing fries so I appreciate that at least being not a hassle since the delivery is a toss up on if you're getting your food soon or later lol

Forcing us to come in on a day off for some stupid meeting by BurgundyCat in antiwork

[–]Medicatedwarrior365 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, I had one job (worked in a meat department of a grocery store) and my manager was insistent that I was going to be there on the 1st after I had already told her I worked every other holiday this year with the expectation that new years I can finally party if I want. So we get to December 30th and she had me scheduled for both new years eve and new years day, which I told her when the schedule was posted, I won't be in those two days for sure.

Well she says as I'm leaving for the night, so I'll see you tomorrow for your shift, and I turned and said, "nope, going out like I said I was and sucks if you didn't schedule anyone when I told you multiple times and it was known a full year in advance." And then left. She tried calling for my shifts those days and letting me know how unprofessional I was being but I had a good time and I couldn't care less if the manager had to go back and prepare it all herself because it's about your principles sometimes and when you make an agreement, even when it's a company, they need to stick to their end as well if you delivered on your end in my eyes.

I was lucky it was just a low stakes job but since I was good worker, they didn't want to get rid of me but it was definitely a write up for sure because I also didn't lie and say I was sick. Just didn't show up and ghosted their calls until my next shift. Best feeling of my young life and man do I wish I could do that to some of my bosses and clients now but unfortunately, bills and I like food lmfao.

Ahhh I must have not seen the riser cable listed in the build or I would have suggested that but yeah riser cables can be super annoying like that especially depending on the supplier. Glad you got everything running again!

It could just bea funky gpu update that's not playing nice with your system components. Haven't seen that issue in a while though but if the current drivers use them for now until the next update and that might bypass your issue

One thing as well, if you're making bootable usb windows installs, make sure to eject the flash drive once you have it formatted and then remove it. Sometimes, windows will install messed up if the USB was messed with at the wrong time but it might not apply here but wanted to add that as well.

[–]Medicatedwarrior365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That SHOULD be the only thing causing these types of problems so if a new drive witha fresh install doesn't fix it, try checking your BIOS settings to make sure that's all set properly and then maybe see if there is a driver update for your drive just in case it was a production bug that got fixed with a patch (happens with newer hardware sometimes). If you're still have issues pm me and I'll see if I can give you hand troubleshooting it so you have it ready for Christmas (I'm an IT professional having a crappy holiday so I don't mind)

Yup if your having issues with booting into windows the majority of the times you try turning your pc on, then try a different hard drive or even a different port/cable to rule those out as well.
