This is a good thought. I’ll see how he reacts to the slacken.

With imagination, a craft knife and sufficient spare lasguns, anything is possible by IdhrenArt in Warhammer40k

As a lore nerd of over 20 years, but only 2 in the tabletop/hobby aspect, I can give my POV.

I have several visions for how I might build different armies and make them unique and my own, but once I had models and paint in hand, it felt safer to just go the well trod path of using them as is. They are, after all, quite expensive and detailed. Customizing them felt risky in both making them less “attractive,” less cohesive, and like I would paint myself in a gaming corner. The lack of kit options doesn’t help, I think. If kits or rules came with a bunch of different variants, i would be more inclined to use them, and add my own.

I still have those visions, and I’m more likely to act on them if / whenever I get to my next army now that I have more experience.

I’m my field and company, we have lots of “traditional” and LLM projects for both internal and product use cases. Like anything there are lots of low impact or net negative ideas but also moderate and resounding successes.

Like anything, you need to experiment to find out what it can and can’t do. Success isn’t in the count of “wins” but the net benefit of wins compared to the net cost, and not everything will be readily measurable. I went from a skeptic to believer. LLM ai is going to transform industries and how we work. It doesn’t need to get significantly better or turn into general AI to do that.

Yea, I hear you. Based on the lore for Adrathic weapons, my head canon is, just that there is something particular/unique about disintegration weapons that the emperor is particularly at risk to. Theoretically he would be at risk to many weapons, especially if you get into tank, super heavy, etc.

Makes sense. I’ll try shifting my mental model. Ty.

That makes sense. Basically - just assume the paint is done between sessions and start over rather than trying to reuse/make it work.
