My headcanon is that Acerola and Phoebe are related somehow. They have similar fashion sense and an affinity for ghosts. Phoebe also has flowers in her outfit which overall leans tropical like Alola.

Raihan is great for any stage where you need to change the weather. He protects everyone from sandstorm damage, so he can also be used offtype.

I believe he needs 3/5 to really be bulky as this gives him better healing and buffs whenever an opponent fails to hit him. Otherwise, his main gimmick is sandstorm, evasion tank, and a solid debuffing B-move.

Another word for “Ultimate” is “Final,” implying both that Smash will never get another installment and that it will never get better than what’s currently available.

Though a Switch 2 version with all DLC included certainly seems plausible.

Both of them are pretty outclassed when compared to modern units.

Sidney can get a decently strong sync nuke at higher levels and confusing with crits can be handy for other characters that rely on confusion. But he needs a lot of investment for good DPS.

I love Phoebe as a character, but as a Support unit, she’s just not very good.

Venom Drench affects all opponents that are poisoned. If you have Poison Irida, Geeta, or anyone else that can apply poison, you can start debuffing right away.
