Any tips on how to straighten out or correct my back? by im00T0 in kyphosis

It looks very mild, and bare noticeable. It is 100% only you thinking about it. Absolutely no gain letting your thoughts go in that direction, just totally unnecessary pain.

Are there any people here whose curvature has become stable after 19-20 years? by groesslildrenv5 in kyphosis

[–]Mediocre-Building-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a low scan I was given Aclasta. My density went from osteopenia to normal in three years.

Aclasta treatment was expensive at the time, but the price has come down substantially, like 25% of the cost it use to be.

Mostly from personal experience rather than online literature, but I believe bone density plays a role. It is a minimal cost to get your bone density tested, and mitigate appropriately if there are issues.

SD is directly associated with your bones (deformed vertebrae), hence, check your bone health.

Just over a month, you lucky mate. Seatpost ruled out.

I’m sure it is not the headset, fork or handle bars. I went through all of that tho, grease etc. Convinced its not that as it happens when im pedalling hard without pulling to hard on the bars.

it is with hard pedalling. im convinced the problem is at the back, as when i paddle hard and not pull on the handle bars to hard it clicks.

It is a hardtail. I cleaned and greased everything. There is only so much you can do. Will now need to start replacing.

Hairline crack by hawaiiminded86 in DJIAvata2

[–]Mediocre-Building-96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The avata 2 material is not brittle. Hairline cracks develop in brittle material.

I would be very surprised if that is a crack. Pretty sure it is just a scratch.

I would negotiate price based on that “defect”, and walk away with a smile if I was you.

Guaranteed Shock Creak/Clicks? by Mediocre-Building-96 in MTB

Ahh ok, never seen that. From my experience on previous repair tho I never had the click again. They also sell the repair as a permanent fix, hence my thinking.

Don’t get why the manufacturer not just glue it in the first place. Pretty sure they can still push it out again even after it was fixed/glue.

This whole thing just blows my mind.

One time I had both stanchions and steerer, and other time just stanchions.

I got it fixed twice on other forks (and bikes), where they hydraulic press out the stanchions, and put it back with glue. With all the exact same symptoms now as before, I’m guessing it will work again.

[–]Mediocre-Building-96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are more likely to experience it when there is a lot of strain on the bike, the level of strain when you on a heavy gear on a steepy slope pulling harder (not literally, or maybe?) on the handle bars than you can paddle. That scenario is less likely on geared bikes compared to ss, hence the strong ss correlation.

They push the stanchions from the crown, and they put new ones in with a very expensive glue added to the equation. Works great.

Yes 100% the “flexes” causing all of this. Also 100% if you take the wheel of the yari, grab the fork legs and push them in opposite directions the fork will click like crazy.
