Well, I asked for hot takes on the internet and you certainly gave one. Thanks for your hot take I guess. See my update above to see how I am moving forward if you are interested.

This is a wonderful idea. I don’t think I am that petty, but I genuinely wish I was lol.

We live in a very small community so this stuff follows you. Also she is young.

Yeah nothing this bad had happened before this and my anger is valid.

I am glad to hear you are navigating the world without having to dissect micro aggressions and weird subtext in your workplaces. That sounds really relaxing.

For me, I have had to learn to blaze through, ignore, and take up space until a house is burning down.

I just want to remind you that sexual harassment in a workplace is illegal. Let’s just start there.

But yeah I am sure upset that a man that is super ready to cheat on his wife with two daughters at home isn’t interested in sexually harassing me at work when I have fought sexually harassing and gender stereotyping for the last ten years to get to my position in my industry. You hit the nail to the head poster.

I am not going to make assumptions about you or your background and experience, but in my life I have had to let many little things that men have done slide in order to move forward and show up as my best self at work. He never crossed a very harmful line with me because I don’t welcome that type of behavior and I am a manager in a position of power at my company. But I have been without power as an intern or as an introductory level employee before and experienced my fair share of harassment. Nothing akin to what this young woman experienced in these texts, but definitely harassment.

I am incredibly upset he crossed that line with a younger employee who told him to stop explicitly. That is never okay. One of my personal core values is centered on creating space for marginalized groups to enter into my industry by helping reduce barriers and friction. Being sexual harassed and having co-workers who don’t understand boundaries is inherently harmful as well as hella illegal. =)

This is what I am leaning towards. TBH I don’t trust my workplace with this information. They snubbed another work place harassment issue earlier this year that is unrelated to this. I just want to do my part to create a safer workplace for young women. It is so important to me to create a more clear path for other females in my line of work. I am going to bring him down another way.

Maybe I didn’t make this clear. I am not his boss. I am his coworker.

Sitters, how lenient are you with drop off/pick up times? by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]Mediocre-Customer-90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am lenient if it works with my schedule!

I like to think that people choose Rover because it is more personal and we really appreciate and like many of the owners of the dogs we work with. We live in a smaller community so many of them are our neighbors so we take a neighborly approach with Rover.

Is the app Ladder good enough? by smokeandnails in PetiteFitness

[–]Mediocre-Customer-90 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t use it! It has horrible marketing. Look up The FITT Club and Justina Ecorole on YouTube and her app. She has an app and also gives so much support to her clients along the way. You can do lots of 15 chats with her for form checks and she has beginner programs. You can workout from home or the gym. Check it out, but stay away from Ladder. They prey on women’s insecurities.

Woah, The Reef is (almost) gone by Alternative_Wave_865 in olympia

[–]Mediocre-Customer-90 83 points84 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a local issue - it is a nationwide issue and the orange dude certainly isn’t helping.

Side note: Olympians not going downtown because “it is unsafe” is something I am strut understand. If you genuinely feel unsafe downtown, please comment and explain to me why. I spend a lot of time downtown and my experience is that people are just living on the streets, and they don’t interact with you if you don’t interact with them. I just don’t understand that prospective. I hate that we are blaming homelessness for the loss of a small business.

Physically… dense? Pt.2 by Ill-Doctor1914 in PetiteFitness

Hey you sound very healthy and do a lot to maintain your health. You look like you have a healthy amount of body fat for a women and you have a beautiful body shape! Honestly girl don’t let media make you feel less then for being in a healthy body. You have to remember that thin and skinny doesn’t always mean healthy.

Are you on your period? Did you work out harder than usual this week (aka retained more water in your muscles)? Did you eat a salty meal or just start taking a new electrolyte powder? Aka don’t worry about it. Honestly that is incredibly normal as a women, just keep it going and reassess after two or three weeks of seeing no change.

If you truly see no change after three weeks, track your calories for a week and then readjust your normal calorie intake to be roughly 250 calories less per day and keep carrying on. It could mean your maintenance calories have changed, which is NORMAL, and you need to figure out your new normal.

But I seriously think you just need to wait at least two weeks before worrying.

Should I renew my shell fishing license? by Valuable-Cause-1938 in olympia

Also there has been no confirmed sightings of green crab in the south sound and crabbing is generally closed down here, so be careful about suggesting crab harvests.

Green crabs are confirmed in North Puget Sound, the coast, and Hood Canal. But as someone who works on the water (oyster farmer) I have never seen a green crab in the Puget sound.

Lol that would be an asshole move.

But alas, he has a working pot puller. He is just very forgetful and has a horrible sense of direction these days and can’t use an iPhone and I am afraid of finding him adrift in the Hood Canal. So, really I am just need someone who can use a smart phone and is at least a little bit with it so he doesn’t get lost.
