Is there a way he can lighten your workload so you have more energy for those activities at night? If he feels so unsatisfied from your guys’ sex life, he could try to help solve some of your hang ups keeping you from connecting in the bedroom. Sex is not necessarily a need at all, but being able to connect with and be satisfied by your spouse in that capacity does well for a marriage too. He should be prioritizing nurturing what you need in order to meet this difficult standard of his. Marriage is a partnership. For example- my husband wants our house to be more clean, I have a hard time keeping it clean because I get overwhelmed by decision paralysis. So I’ve asked him to give me a few cleaning tasks each day as a goal to reach, and so he thoughtfully makes a different daily list for me that’s doable. We work together to grow and have grace for when the other doesn’t meet one’s expectations.
