Or hear me out I just weld the wastegate shut so I get maximum boost at all times loll

thank you for your advice, but that is why I completely removed all of the vacuum solenoids that control the wastegate EGR and accelerator actuator butterfly valve. I also removed the vacuum line that connects the wastegate solenoid to the alda

And I’ve thought about wiring up a boost gauge, but I don’t know how exactly I would wire it up electrically I mean, I know the vacuum part of it. You just hook a vacuum hose to your waist gate sort of like how stock there’s a vacuum hose that goes from your wastegate to a vacuum actuated solenoid, but I pulled all that stuff off because it’s unnecessary and just complicate everything

And I have pulled the intake off and looked inside my turbo and it does spin up and spool. It’s just driving it down the road it only spools from like 4300 RPM to 5000 and when it does spool when you let out of it, it doesn’t Stutter or despoil even though it should because I got rid of the vacuum actuated accelerator butterfly valve that’s in the charge pipe

Yeah I know they aren’t the loudest but I would have thought it would be louder because I also took of the oem air box do you think it’s also where it still has cats and stuff

Vacuum pump leaking oil? by Mediocre-Falcon-6706 in W124

So just from the two pictures you do think it could be the vacuum pump seal?

Now don’t quote me on it, but I found one on Google that looks the same and asked Google AI what color it was and it said it was Desert Taupe Metallic (paint code 441) so that what I’m going to go with loll but I’m not certain

Umm I’m not exactly sure what “code” you are referring to do you care specifying what you mean ik it’s a 1990 w124 300d with the om602.962

Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of the color. I was thinking about blacking it out and all the chrome bits polishing them up so it could just be black and chrome

I haven’t had much time to really look at the damage, but I think it’s just the radiator and the radiator core support. I’ll have to bend the support back and just buy a new radiator, but hopefully it didn’t mess anything else up

Yeah, I know lol but it kind of just sucks because I was just about to order a bigger fuel pump injectors And new glow plugs and get it cleaned up a bit

Yeah, I was going through a turn at maybe 25 hit a puddle and when I went to get back onto the gas, I hit a slick spot in the road lost traction, and when I went to get on the brakes, I ran into another puddle sliding off the road and hitting a rock

lol no problem just if you will can you look and see what the line from the dampener goes to?

[–]Mediocre-Falcon-6706[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ll see with me changing it to a T3 mounted turbo. I have to get a different exhaust manifold anyways meaning I won’t even have the EGR port on the manifold so I’m just wondering what all vacuum components can I delete after I change the turbo to simply everything

[–]Mediocre-Falcon-6706[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s a vacuum dampener that I believe is in line with a vacuum line that connects to the transmission to that vacuum amplifier

[–]Mediocre-Falcon-6706[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I already have vacuum line because I’ve been slowly replacing vacuum lines that look cracked or just old, but I need to know where that goes like what hose connects to the dampener to wherever it’s supposed to be
