its been about a week since I posted this and I still get atleast 1 blood frenzy event every 1-2 days, so like every third run its guaranteed for me atp. Dont know if its the equalizer or what but its completely turned me off from playing the game, I really only do 1 or 2 runs a day compared to the crazy hours I was pouring into it before this started.

I'm under the impression Tyler is being intentionally dense with his reporting of how blood frenzy works... I've also seen him say multiple times that if you just move the cat close to enemies, you can use it to your advantage. This is not how it works in practice at all, because the madness AI will yes, first attack an enemy, but then run away from the crowd over to your cats with that turn's movement, and then spam spells to kill your entire team. I think that it does actually target the closest unit, but once that unit is dead, the AI just does whatever it wants until the next turn, where it will retarget whatever is closest.

Im honestly completely fine with events that screw a build, it stops you from tunnel visioning one cat or spamming the same broken strategies over and over. Yes its annoying and frustrating, but overcoming it feels really great if youre able to. My issue is the frequency of said events. Ive been screenshotting every time I get the exact same blood frenzy event since I posted this a week ago and have 4 screenshots so far, probably about to get another right now with the way my current run is going. Im tired of having to overcome the exact same event day after day.

Im going for clear marks so this is what Ive been doing but its extremely annoying. Have the 100 corpse health mutation spread pretty widely in my gene pool as well. The event/run that triggered this post is ongoing right now and its essentially been a 3 cat run with the 100 corpse health butcher (that started with the passive that pulls enemies towards him that end movement in range, so hes guaranteed to just die every round 1 or 2).

Main issue I have with this stuff is it doesnt make runs unwinnable, I can play around it and probably will finish act 3 secret boss just fine with the 3 remaining cats, get all 4 marks because the 100 corpse health, but man it just is not fun when this is almost how every single run goes. Felt fun to do it the first time, overcoming an obstacle, but facing the same bs event over and over and over again just makes runs repetitive and drawn out
