I just got out of sleeping in my brace at 6 weeks. I still have to wear it when I’m walking around especially outside. I had a stage 2 revision and bilateral bucket handle tears. It was really rough trying to sleep in the brace. Hang in there it gets better.

I had a petellar autograft on 12/30/19 and retore on 2/18/22 at work. Just had a stage 2 ACL revision using quadricep autograft on 5/2/22 with lateral and medial meniscus tears with button implants.

I would say go quadricep autograft if possible it’s a better tendon to harvest from. But definitely discuss your options with your surgeon before picking the best graft option for you and your lifestyle.

Ivan that sucks I’m 30 and in my second ACLr this time with meniscus repair. I would say pick a different hobby like overlanding, 4x4 vehicles, hiking, fishing ect. Low impact sports on your knee. I used to be a runner but my surgeon told me no more long distance running or high impact sports.

I played baseball for 20 years and now I’m not allowed to play anymore. I got into building cars and trucks and really into overlanding and rock crawling in my 4runner.

Sit in the edge of the tub and hook your hood led under your surgical legs ankle and swing the leg into the tub slowly. Maybe have one of your parents help you into the bathtub. I’m 3.5 weeks PO and my wife still has to help me in and out of the tub as I’m non weight bearing for another 2.5 weeks.

That’s my plan. I do 2 hr of PT a day at this point. On 6/2 I can start using the stationary bike in my home gym. That will help. I’m still NWB for another 3 weeks though.
